I just upgraded my server to W8 and my HDHRs are working fine, but I get just the black screen from anything with my Colossus devices. I did install the LAV filters and set them as my decoders. I have attached my log files. Any help?

You can currently toggle DVB/DVD subtitles on or off, but SRT subtitles can only be turned on - you can't disable them again without quitting the video.

Could we have a "Disabled" option added to the popup subtitles box for SRT stuff too please?

i installed 2.5.9 version and patch it.
i see nothing detected in the npvr's devices menu window.

Could be an RSS type feed across bottom of all pages with click link? Could be a follow on from getting started page. But I feel from all the fantastic work johnsonx42 has done on the getting started with NextPVR thread that the wiki does need to reflect this too?

As usual ideas and discussion most welcome?

Also think it would be most improved if someone did come up with an installer that closed NextPVR running progs, installed updates/latest approved patches and then run NextPVR again?

Sorry if my description is a bit off, I'm at work typing this from my 20/20 memory. I have NextPVR setup with Frodo RC1 on Windows and Hauppauge 2250 and I'm missing channels in the Timeline Guide. I have everything from 2-125 but missing anything from 126-450.

They're there in the Next PVR frontend, they're there in the EPG Channel Setup screen in XBMC, and they're there in the "All Channels" list and work. When I go into the Timeline guide they're gone and the Timeline is setup for All Channels. What's going on? What did I mess up this time? Ha!

Channels 126-230 are part of the Cablebox's 2-125 Cable Box Channel List. Channels 230-250 are ATSC OTA and 300-450 are the cablebox's Galaxy music stations.

I was having this issue with Eden and XNewa but was hoping that I could run away from my issues like I have with everything else in life by upgrading to Frodo - but like everything else in life, it didn't help.

Is there a way to play a random playlist of the entire music collection using the standard Music library screen?

with wmc but the lack of mpg hardware encoding is im assuming why its not working with nextpvr. Can anyone recommend a reasonably inexpensive tv card that will do the job. Thanks a lot.

Showing (yet again) my inexperience with C#, but how do you properly debug exceptions being thrown when there's no stack trace to lead you to where it's being thrown from? I guess I'm just too used to Java

Hi,

I'm trying to find a solution for NextPVR crashing when opening the System plugin. This problem didn't occure before as NPVR was working fine in the past.
I've tried to reproduce the problem by installing NPVR on another W7x64 system but that system runs fine (no errors even after copying all NPVR folder from the malfunctioning system).
I've also tried a fresh NPVR installation on the malfunctioning W7x64 system but no matter what the errors keep on coming back.
This makes me think it might have something to do with the W7x64 installation, drivers or register of the malfunctioning system but I could be completely wrong?
I've attached all log files, config.xml and some error screenshots to better visualize the problem and hope someone can give me some good advice where to start looking.

I have installed NextPVR since 5 days ago. I use with haupage HD-PVR 1212.

All work great (recording,music,video,plugin,etc) but I have 1 big problem: loss of audio during Live TV.

My input device audio is SPDIF. It stream Ac3 content. When i've installed NextPVR for the first time, there are no audio at all in Live TV. But after some search in this forum, i've changed Config.xml and mark <ForceSpdif>True</Forcespdif>. After that, audio work great.

But after some minutes (5, sometimes 15,sometime 30) of Live TV, video stop some second and restart but audio not restart. I have the image but no sound.
If i go in the context menu and i click on "Audio stream Ac3", audio work now.

But the same problem of audio loss remade surface...

I use FFdshow as decoder audio. Here's my log:
