I try to use NextPVR Jellyfin plugin to access to my NextPVR Recordings. I try to set both default PIN 0000 and specified PIN, but with correct PIN it keeps return 401:
if I enable Unauthenticated Access "Allow unauthenticated access for streaming Live TV / Recordings", I got 500 Error in ffmpeg:

I have been having issues with Matt Huisman's Australian channel 7 IPTV stream for a few weeks, and I wondered if anyone has found a solution. The stream will record for about 30 secs, and then the video freezes and the audio keeps going for a few seconds; after that, everything is back in sync, and then it happens again around 30 secs later. I have had similar issues before with these streams, and sometimes creating an extra with ffmepeg resolves it, but not this time. I have even tried to transcode to an mp4 container after the fact, but it doesn't fix the issue.
I suspect the Channel 7 stream has been changed to do something weird, and it re-sets the time-line every 30 secs causing some kind of re-sync.
@sbiddle I know you are using the Australian streams with NextPVR, have you seen this issue? Do you know how to solve it? As I remember, you are not using Matt's links, do you have a link for a channel 7 stream that works OK with NextPVR?
I have a quad hd dvb-t tuner. I also have a dual dvb-t tuner and a quad satelite tuner.
My question is what happens when there is a no signal on a tuner as I have had a no signal failure often lately on the quad hd tuner and the software has not attempted to try another tuner on that card or try other tuners including satelite?
Howcome it does not try other tuners as I remember on media center it would try alternate tuners or even use a +1 station to record from if all else fails.
First, I apologize if this has been discussed before, I have searched the forum for a solution to this but the discussions I have found have not been related to Docker so I am unsure of how to solve my problem.
I subscribe to an IPTV service and use it through NextPVR using my Xtreme code credentials, it works perfectly right after I set it up. However, some of the channels are special event channels like PPV, NFL game pass, etc. These channels stop working after a while, it appears that the IPTV provider changes the URLs to the channels and NextPVR is still looking for them under the URL the channel had when it was originally imported. If I manually go into NextPVR settings I can get the list to update again. I need to go through the process of selecting the groups I want to sync again (I only pull about 5% of the provider's channels into NextPVR), and then its back up and running.
I was wondering if there is a way to automate this process when running NextPVR in a Docker container? I have researched some threads that appear to be a similar issue and seen discussions regarding NScriptHelper.dll -serviceetting.m3u.update but I am not sure how to accomplish this from my Docker-compose file, or if the methods discussed in these threads are still the current best practices for resolving this.
FreeToAir EPG data is quite basic where the data contained in the above link contains Series and Episode Numbers

I did "Add XMLTV Channel Lineup" but nothing happened

What am I missing or what am I doing wrong
I bought a Meta Quest III and had to install a PCI-e x4 card for a USB type C connector.
In the process I disconnected my coaxial cable (it must have been loose and I did not realize).
After the install, NextPVR did not work. The client was doing stuff, my server was updating stuff, my EPG data went out over 14 days. But when I tried to watch a show, nothing (amazing with no antenna connection).
I did NOT start by checking the connections (dumb, I know but a senior moment).
I uninstalled NextPVR completely.
I reinstalled NextPVR in the process updating the version from I think 5.11 (I think) 6.1.5.231022. I scanned for channels. Deleted all the shopping channels and religious channels. I entered my Schedules Direct userid and password (verified by using cut and paste to log into Schedules Direct).
The EPG loaded maybe 12-18 hours for 13 of the 32 channels. I forced another loading of EPG data and it extended to about 24 hours for the 13 channels but nothing for the other 19. I am getting EPG data for Fox, Antenna, Grit, CBS, My-TV, Mystery, CW, Rewind, Ion, Bounce, Laugh, Defy TV, and Scripps. I am not getting data for 1stAlrt (It mostly is blank and only rarely showing a listing, it is mostly local CBS station weather reports with radar), NBC, GetTV, beIN Sports Xtra, PBS, PBS-Kids, PBS-World, PBS-Create, Comet, MeTV, NLEC (religious but also old TV shows like Cisco Kid and the Lone Range and DIY home energy and skills), Heroes and Icons, Start, MeTV+, Story, ABC, TBD (usually blank), and Retro TV.
Besides my forcing EPG updates, it has run through 2 normal (2:44AM) updates. And most of the data is still missing.
Is there a log for the EPG updating so I can see what is wrong?
I’m currently running NextPVR 6.1.5.231022 container nextppvr-nextpvr_amd64-1 in a Synology DSM 7.2 docker using an HDHomerun dual tuner (HDHR3-US). Issue I’m having is that I’m unable to use both tuners simultaneously. If I’m recording program A and attempt to watch program B in the same time slot, I get a “Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)” on program B. If I record program A and B, I get a “[Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.]” on the second program I selected to record. Both tuners appear in settings. I’ve also disabled one, then the other tuner and receive a signal, so I know they’re both working. I also have NextPVR installed on a W11 machine using the same tuner without issue, so I’m pretty sure it’s a docker issue. Logs attached. Example would be “Rick Steves’ Europe” and “The open mind.”
I am having an issue with recording using NextPVR.
My IPTV streams frequently have a 2 second video clip that appears prior to the live stream. The 2 second video clip is an expiration warning for the service, and appears intermittently prior to the start of the IPTV stream. This is not an issue when watching live streams (aside from the minor inconvenience), but this is a breaking issue when trying to record.
When setting a record, NextPVR will record the video clip and then get stuck and not record the live stream. The resulting file appears to be of the file size and length as expected, but only has a 2 second video clip viewable at the start.
Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue? Sadly the expiration warning is just a bug (rather than it actually expiring), so I can't solve the cause of this issue sadly.
I have attached the trimmed logs of an example where the issue occurred. If the attachment hasn't uploaded properly, I have pasted it here: https://pastebin.com/tL7xueyQ
So, I've found a few threads discussing this error, but they seeemed to be different configuration tyoes (i.e. USB tuners), or older versions of the app and/or OS. So, hopefully I'm not being redudndant.
I, for the second time in a couple of weeks, started getting " Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal " on a regularly scheduled recoding (Tonight Show).
The first time I restarted my device (SiliconDust HDHomeRun dual tuner), and rebooted my NEXTPVR server. All started working.
This time, when I got failed recordings, I then tried using the native HDHomeRun app, and got "All Tuners Busy", despite all of my NEXTPVR clients (2 Kodi boxes, and 2 Win workstations) being off or not running. I reset just the HDHomeRun, and still got failed recordings the next night.
I then tried to manually record a show (specifically choosing a different channel), using a Kodi client. That worked. I set a timer for recording. That also worked. Odd.
I power cycled the Kodi client that I normally just hibernate, but still got "Tuners in use"in the HDHomerun app. Interestingly, on the server device status page it said " No devices are currently active"
I then rebooted the NextPVR server, and my nightly timer then worked. I also no longer got the busy tuners in the HDHomerun app. This doesn't seem like a signal quality issue (which I have no issues with in general)
So, it feels like the server is tying up the tuners somehow? Although it allowed the manual recording and doesn't seem to think the devices are active...
I've attached the log files that have entries covering that time range. This is the program in question:
Code:
2023-11-08 23:34:00.231 [DEBUG][4] StartStream(): \\file01\pvr$\The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\Season 11\The.Tonight.Show.Starring.Jimmy.Fallon.S11E28.John.Oliver;.Matt.Rife;.Black.Pumas.ts
Other perhaps pertinent info:
NextPVR server: Version: 6.1.5.231022
Server OS: Windows Server 2016 (fully patched)
Tuner: Model: HDFX-2US / Device ID: 10944DB4 / Firmware: 20230719
I have a recurring recording set to all channels, all episodes. When I attempt to update it, an exception occurs. Let me know if you need the database.
