hi,
Using Unraid and Docker
been having a issue with no sound on SkyOpen/PrimeTV using matthuisman.nz links
when I use them directly(in vlc or kodi using SimpleIPTV) is plays fine with sound but when I try in NextPRV no sound
i've had a look around on the forms and have tried using the
Custom NextPVR build thats on the forms and same issue all the other channels are fine (though ffmepg might of helped)
just SkyOpen/PrimeTV has no sounnd. SkyOpen+1 has sound
This question does have something to do with how NextPVR operates. I noticed that in the TV listings, a movie I want to record starts at 1:30 AM on Nov. 5, but it appears that the EPG has it at 2:30. I understand that officially, DST starts at 2 AM on Nov. 5. But the more I think about it, the more confused I get about how NextPVR will schedule it.
The question: If the EPG shows the movie at 2:30-5:00, but the TV listing shows it at 12:30-3:00, where the EPG schedule shows it starting at 1:30, will the movie actually start an hour late then, or 2 hours late? I assume that the computers will synchronize automatically at 2AM, is this true? I'm just a bit confused about this issue, and how the EPG schedule is going to work.
I'm having some problems with recording IPTV. Lately, all recordings skip, sometimes they rewind, sometimes they fast foward, it is very erratic. I usually only record soccer games. Today I recorded a game and watching it (in VLC) it sometimes skips 2 minutes and then it can rewind back even 20 mins, and then jump to another time..etc.
I am using the web app to record. I also use the web app to watch. I have attached my logs. I started recording around 10 am.
I have been also getting a lot of "waiting for device" and then a black screen.
So.. I can log in fine on the PC where NextPVR is installed: localhost:8866, supply admin username and password, and off we go. Great.
But when I try the same a PC on the LAN - any PC, and any browser - it fails. http://[IP address]:8866 get me the login screen just fine. I supply the admin username and password, and get "Login Failed".
Windows firewall rules are fine. I'm getting the initial login page, so clearly its fine! But, just to do the test anyway, I disabled the firewall completely for both public, private, and domain (none of the PCs are in a domain, but hey, why not try?). No surprise, same result: "Login Failed".
I am not an idiot with computers. In fact, I get paid pretty well to work with them every day, in some fairly complex setups. But this one I just can't work out. It's the simplest possible setup, and still it still logging in from another PC just doesn't work. It's driving me nuts!
I should also say: I have NextPVR installed on a different PC on the LAN also, it's been working fine for years, and no issue logging into that machine. I even use the same admin username and password on that machine (I'm setting up a newer PC to replace the older one). I've even confirmed the password hash value in config.xml is the same on both those PC's.
I'm also ruling out typos. I've typed this probably 50 times, including logging into NextPVR on the local PC itself numerous times, typing the USR and PWD in manually, just to make sure I didn't make a typo when setting the password. The two machines are even sharing the same physical keyboard on a virtual KVM.
If anyone has any ideas how to move this forward, let me hear them.
Logs attached. PC running NextPVR is 10.0.0.115; machine on LAN I'm trying to log in from (and fails to) is 10.0.0.144.
I installed the latest version and now my extra shows as unavailable. I recorded something with it last weekend, so it was working then. I am not sure between then and now. Outside of NextPVR, I can connect to the device and it is working.
I stopped the service
I moved everything out of the logs directory to a different location
I started the service
I went to the main webpage, then settings, then devices
I went back to the settings page and grabbed the attached logs
This is the contents of NPVR-data/extras-exvist.xml
On a video with ComSkip enabled where I press skip (30 second) near the start of a commercial block, sometimes the video will hang but the audio will continue. I've had this happen several times now, I was able to exit and resume playback.
Today I was able to capture it with minimal activity going on. This time I waited and the video did resume, so I grabbed the logs right away.
From the NPVR.log, it would have been around this time:
2023-10-27 09:15:00.401 [DEBUG][1] In commerical, and about to skip to 2331.46. Duration is 8096.312. Position is2061.5398759
This is with the NPVR app running on the server itself. Also, Thumbnails are disabled.
<ExtractThumbnails>none</ExtractThumbnails>
<GenerateTiming>false</GenerateTiming>
This may be related, the commercials are starting sooner than the comskip block, which is why I press skip.
I updated to the latest version and thought I should update channels as well. I chucked all the old ones and scanned dvb-s tuner 1, edited and added OK. Then did tuner 2. It offered to copy over from tuner1, this was accepted and went fine.
Then noticed I didn't include a channel I should have, so I re-scanned tuner 1 and added just that channel. I then went to tuner 2. It didn't ask anything about copying / updating from turner 1 (should it, could it ?) so I re-scanned tuner 2 and added the missing channel.
I've now got 2 of that channel and if I go to Channels and untick that second channel, it still shows up in the guide and its ticked again when I go back into Channels. I hope I'm missing something really obvious, like a 'Save' somewhere ?
Recent posts have shown that if the m3u8 URL pas a referer or user-agent the internal m3u8 downloader will use them but they are not passed to ffmpeg if the first connection fails or if the file type is not supported (ie separate audio and video channels)'
ffmpeg should be able to use -user_agent "..." and -headers "Referer: ..." parameters so it would be potentially avoid the use of an extra.
An additional log entry explaining why the internal downloader is not used would help debugging.
Hello,
Probably a silly question but it seems every time I log out of the web interface I get the message Login Failed when I try to log back in.
Seems to rectify itself when I restart the machine but this doesn't feel like a sensible solution.
I am running Windows 11 using Edge.
Thanks if anyone can throw any light on the problem.
