Several weeks ago around the time there was a new version of LibreElec I was unable to install the client on a PC and RPi3. The error for both that it could not find any of the dependencies! I tried again last week and was able to install both. I dont know if it is intended but there is no longer a blue background just black. The the new client on the RPi3 had gained 4 extra menu items on the startup menu.
I have just deleted and reinstalled the New Client on both hardware and are running as normal but with the Black background!
I have had to not use my RPi4 with LibreElec 11.0.3 because during startup mode 1366X768X62 is used and running at 62 HZ frame rate locks up 2 of my TVs. I reported it to LibreElec but none of their work arounds worked! The previous version ran at 60Hz which all my TV can handle!!
After many failed recordings recently I setup a test server to try and isolate the problem. With the test disk in the live server I could test each of the tuners without risking making changes to the live disk. This soon showed me that PCIe tuner DVB-S2 1 was faulty but tuner DVB-S2 2 was still working as were the two DVB-T2 tuners. Unfortunately the DVB-T2 tuners are not that useful these days as they dont have access to many HD channels.
However I have a SAT>IP tuner which I use for live TV via TVheadend but rarely use more than two so have 1 or 2 that NextPVR could use. I setup a test server using the test disk that found the faulty tuner in an old PC. It has no hardware tuners so only sees the three enabled SAT>IP tuners. All three tuners scan and find the expected channels. EPG is via a xml file imported from the main server. On the test server I can record up to 3 channels using the SAT>IP tuners. If I try to do this on the main server none of the SAT>IP tuners activate so no recordings are made!
Enclosed are two sets of logs showing recordings being made on the Test server but failing on the normal server!
When I am playing back the recorded videos, and I want to skip forward and back using the left or right arrow keys, NPVR would show thumbnails just above the timeline what scenes were available. I no longer see that. What can be done to recover that capability?
Apologies for being a total noob.
I have a new system setup on a Mac using HDHomerun dual tuner. Channels play and record no issue. However, EPG is never displayed.
Currently I have all channels set to: DVB/ATSC EPG. When I run manual EPG scan I see: EPG Update complete. [0 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped]
After scan.. all channel listings are "(no listings)". I have tried to adjust the timeout up to 120, 240, and longer. Still no luck.
I realize that OTA listings will be sparse. But there should be something, correct? Thanks for the help.
So I installed and got Plutotv working however I am running into an issue of the stream freezing coming out of a commercial. I have read most if not all of the forum pages to realize this is most likely a stream link issue. Has any one found a reliable solution from Streamlink or tips in general? Is there a better version of streamlink to use than the most recent version? is there a different software solution?
Is there a way so that I can create for example 2 new channel groups called children, and the other adults and copy specific channels into it?
I like to copy them into it so that I dont take them out of the default channel group they come from. Also as some channels both groups will have access to.
Additionally, is there a way to lock certain channel groups so that children cant see them?
Hello.... I remember Sub informing me that is possible to create function to perform a post record action.
Been trolling thru old postings, but can't find the particular advice thus far.
Am wondering if recording to a fast drive like an NVME m.2 drive, and then when recording is complete, having it automatically get moved to my NAS is possible?
At one stage, sub suggested a method, where it copies the recording, and then somehow updates the database.
For the most part, my NAS seems to work admirably, but at times when NAS is performing Maintenace tasks, I find that a bit of weirdness like stutter happens until the NAS catches up.
Thinking of Sub's suggestion from that time.
Hi Support,
I'm rebuilding my DVR on Linux Mint 21.2 because my Mint 19.x has become end-of-life. In order for Nextpvr to see my Hauppauge 2255 card, I remember having to install two pieces of firmware. I still have both of those files saved locally, but I can't remember how I installed them way back when so that the Hauppauge card is recognized by Mint and Nextpvr. The files are named NXP7164-2010-03-10.1.fw and NXP7164-2010-04-01.1.fw. My new install of Mint and Nextpvr are up and running, I just need your help waking up the card.
Thanks,
Mark
I am wanting to explore the plutotv extra but noticed that a donation needs to be made, what level of donation is required to unlock the ability for these features to work?
