My dilemma is shown in the attached image.
I have 2 tuners and The Bachelor is scheduled 7-9:01 ( according to the guide ) so at 9:00 NextPVR sees 3 items to record so it won't even attempt to record the Bachelor. I looked at the pre and post-padding options and they're all positive values but I was hoping to try the Bachelor with a -1 so then it ends at 9. By try I mean it record and then see if it cuts off any of the show or just the credits and commercials in-between shows.
So, is there such a way to do a negative padding? Or, is there another way to address this issue?

I recently bought a HDHR Flex, hooked it up here and everything basically worked. I took the Flex to a different part of the state to see what came over the air there and had some problems. When I got back, I "cautiously" first connected by old HDHR Extend and everything worked. I disconnected the Extend and connected the Flex. I was a bit disturbed to see that the HDHR setup showed both controllers, although it did show the Extend as "not found." But the bottom line was good. On my Windows 11 PC, I could see and hear ATSC 1.0 channels using both HDHR Setup and their Windows HDHR client and plain VLC and see but not hear the ATSC 3.0 channels (as expected). However, when I tried to watch a ATSC 1.0 channel using NextPVR, my browser window said "Starting Device. Please Wait..." and after a pause "Streaming failed (transcoder exited)". What is going wrong? I've attached a screen shot of my devices and channels, and the NextPVR log files. My attempt to watch the ATSC 1.0 channel started a little after 15:02 local time. The IP addresses I noticed in the logs were .144 (the HDHR Flex), .145 (the Windows 11 PC on which NextPVR is running), and .148 (the HDHR Extend when it was attached to my LAN). Any thoughts or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
My system:
Raspberry Pi 4 mounted in an Argon M.2 case with a 1TB SSD drive. I am running LibreElec and Kodi with the NextPVR addons. The program guide is being downloaded from Schedules Direct. I am connecting to the system via a wireless network.
After a reboot of the system there is no data in the program guide and the recording list is also empty. After about a minute or so the recorded program list is populated bu no data ever shows up in the program guide.
During start up I receive an error, "Remote Communications Server failed to start". I can get the server to restart by going to Settings>PVR and Live TV>Client Specific Settings>Refresh cache for channel icons. (Update all channels and Update channel groups has the same effect). After that the program guide shows my channels until the next reboot.
I have LibreElec set to wait for network before starting Kodi with a maximum wait time of 20 seconds.
I understand that normally I would never shut down the system but this system is for my daughter and I don't want her to have with messing with this should the power go off for example.
I can't figure out how to capture the NextPVR error logs in LibreElec on the Raspbery Pi but I have captured the Kodi error log.
I ran the installer to update from version 5 to version 6. Now when I bring up the settings menu in the web browser, nothing comes up when I go to settings. The links to different settings sections on the left all point to the same thing: http://127.0.0.1:8866/settings.html#.
NextPVR still works because it was previously configured from version 5, but now I can't change anything.

How does skip-ahead work?
I recently upgraded my V4 system to V6. I am using all the same hardware and LAV decoders but am noticing a difference with skip-ahead.
With V4 the skip usually happens immediately, with audio and video in sync.
With V5, when I skip the audio advances immediately, but the video freezes for about 2-3 seconds before it catches up.
I'm under the impression that the player software is mostly the same between the versions?

I've been using NextPVR for about 2 months after my MythTV setup got borked. I've got two things working that took some figuring:
The first is a ParallelProcessing.sh file that deletes the oldest recordings to make room for new recordings. It will delete the oldest files to make a certain amount of free space on starting a new recording:

It will delete files in folders, but not the folders, so I have my recordings in one folder.
The second is a script to run comskip when a recording is started. I had trouble with comskip from /usr/local/bin or /usr/bin (compiled or from apt) randomly failing with a segmentation fault on my system, but comskip in a docker container worked. This was written with the help of ChatGPT and watches the recordings folder and launches comskip in a docker container:

With these two things I have NextPVR working perfectly as my server and Kodi as the frontend. I hope this helps somebody and I appreciate the support forum's help in figuring these things out.
I just installed the software on a new computer. Put in the path of all the previous recorded shows, and they don't show up when I click on recordings. Any ideas?
