I am trying to change the location and size of a field using my own placement but I can't recall how, I was able to populate the tvguide before but I've lost the test code
I have in the skin location="@locX,@locY" size="@sizeX,@sizeY"
I've tried with
args["@locX"] = "0.0m";
args["@locX"] = 0.0m;
and d and f and capitals etc and I'm forgetting something.
I am building my first HTPC and have chosen to go with the gb-pvr platform. I am in great need of advice and links to the best plugins for netflix, internet radio, channel guides, music playlists, etc. I am trying to take in as much as I can but my head is starting to swim and getting everything mixed up. I would like to just get this project rolling so I can learn along the way. Everyone here seems very help full and looks like a great place to learn!!
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS, brilliant forum!!!
I've already done some things that I found here to have GB-PVR up and running.
As I'm really new in this kind of environment, I hope that I'm not doing a stupid question
GB-PVR runs properly to see movies, pictures and so on... Now I'm trying to setup my brand new TVcard (wintv-nova-td-500 hd) and I got blocked...
I've installed the software that comes with the card (which is really bad) and it runs properly, I can see the TV. Then I tried to setup the card in GB-PVR using the "config" tool and during the scanning (chanel 20/57) when the very first channel is found, the system gets totally blocked, no blue screen, no error message, just blocked. The only option is to turn it off.
As the card doesn't appear in the combo box, I created the following lines in the bda.ini (from another thread):
[Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD-500 DVB-T #1]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path0) "
FILTER_CAPTURE="Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Capture (Dev1 Path0)"
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
[Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD-500 DVB-T #2]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER="Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Tuner (Dev1 Path1) "
FILTER_CAPTURE="Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T Capture (Dev1 Path1)"
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
But it happens the same...
I'm in Barcelona (Spain), when selecting the country, it doesn't appear so I left "All Countries"... Is it correct?
Ah! The OS is Win XP SP3.
If someone could help me I will really appreciate it.
And sorry for my English, it's not so good
Just a note, I get on gbpvr kicks in spurts, so I don't always come here to report a problem when I have one. Hence, I'm gonna talk about an issue I've had for a while but never posted about. Very, very sorry about this. I'm horrible, I know.
Anyway, I've had this same issue every time I've tried to use ML2/ML3, either one. I just recently blew away all the old ML2 and ML3 stuff and did a fresh install of the last ML3 release. It still never finds all my music.
I keep all of my music on a server the whole house can access. I map a drive letter in my XP GB PVR box to the music directory on the server. In the past, I've tried to just add that drive to the system paths, but it wouldn't find all the music files. There are several directories on my server under music, like 'kids' and 'christmas' and 'mystuff' and 'mywifes', etc. This time I added each of those directories as a separate system path, nuked the db and then did a scan. Once again, it still only found a really random sampling of the music I showed it under the system paths.
I know its not tag related, because very recently (this summer) we redid every single tag to get everything right for a load onto an mp3 player for a long road trip we took. Let me tell you, that was a chore ;- )
Anyway, any ideas? Its really, really random what shows up in the lists. I'd get two country artists, and a couple of my stuff, and a bunch of the stuff from my wife's directory, and a christmas album here and there, and then some of the albums are incomplete, etc.
For a long while now I haven't been using GB PVR for anything but providing a web TV Guide on my network. I came back yesterday to look for advice about my Pinnacle PCTV 80e, and found that everything seems to have changed.
I downloaded this new NPVR program, and installed it on my Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit machine that didn't have GB PVR on it, but I can't figure out how to configure it, as there doesn't seem to be a config program.
During the install, three message boxes appeared:
1) DataDirectory registry setting does not appear to be set correctly
2) DataDirectory=C:\Users\Public\NPVR\
3) InstallDirectory=C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\
I looked around a little on this board, but I don't see a guide for this new program.

Has anyone been succesful with creating a mvpmc share on Windows 7 64 bit that can be mounted with the guest account? I've created the share with the NMTInstall program, but I can't get it mounted using the guest account on my NMT (I've also tried "root" which worked on Vista). I can mount it using another account and password, but that's not how I like it. The guest account is active. Any ideas?
sub Wrote:Plugins can now act as the main menu menu
What interface(s) do I need to implement in order to make a alternative main menu plugin? Also, what needs to be changed in the settings screen or config file in order to use it once available?
Will I see any improvement for the analog channels ? Picture quality, recording quality, etc...
Anyone here using the AVerTV Ultra PCI-E RDS ? Is it possible for you to capture some tv screenshot of your analog channels with the default avertv software ? Want to see how is the quality of this tuner .
Can't get it to work on my Win7 install. Error log snippet below:
