maybe I'm just not seeing things right, but I fired up NPVR to try it out, and the timeline display doesn't make sense to me.
I've got my EPG loaded in and it all works, but the timeline always shows -00:00:00 and the current time. In GBPVR, it would properly show how much of the show has elapsed and where I am currently time-wise. Am I missing a setting or something? :confused:
I don't know where to post this, so I'll just post it here and see if any mod wants to move it somewhere else...
In looking through the forum, it seems like maybe it's time to separate GB-PVR matters from N-PVR matters completely... nothing works cross-platform, and it would certainly be confusing for a new N-PVR user trying to ferret out the newer NPVR compatible stuff from all the older stuff.
Perhaps a forum structure like this:

Naturally any N-PVR related threads in the various existing plugin forums would be moved by their moderators to their new N-PVR plugin forum.
This would allow older GB-PVR related info to die off as it falls out of use, rather than being dragged on forever as the same forums get reused for completely different, incompatible plugins and information. Better also to do it now before too many N-PVR threads get started.
Firstly great work on this release, just all seemed to worked first time with very little need of configuration.
Stupid question, but how do you access a compressed epg like the freeview.xml.gz on nzepg.org? I'm sure GB could just uncompress it - but then I could be wrong.
OK... If I currently have a UiScreen displaying, I can display a title and image using (pseudo):
Code:
screenHT["@title"] = "My Title";
screenHT["@image"] = myImage;
screenUI.Args = screenHT;
Now, when I update the title/image on the screen, by button press or whatever, the title is getting updated, but the image is not. If I update for a third time, title gets updated and the image gets updated to the image I sent on the second update.
I'm just wondering if there is something I am not doing right for images. I've verified I am sending the updated image to the hashtable for the screen and updating it. I just can't seem to get the screen to update with that image.
I made the mistake of putting too many items in one thread and it is starting to get messy. So I am opening this thread separately to request that recording padding defaults are added to the Settings so that you dont need to set the pre and post padding on each recording. Not a biggy but it was a nice feature in GBPVR.
I have been specifying 15 minute post padding when submitting recordings using NEWA but the system appears to ignore the post padding setting. Has anyone else seen an issue with post padding ? Please let me know if I there is any debug I should try or data I should capture.
I have just added a second sound card to my PC so that I can get GBPVR to output to my TV while having normal sound on my PC. I am using the ffdshow Audio Decoder and have changed the Audio Renderer from "Default DirectSound Device" to "DirectSound: Speakers...".
This works for everything except recordings, they are using the .TS format and always play the audio on the default audio output.
This is probably best answered by sub:
I am planning on moving up to a DVB-S2 card, either PCI or PCIe. I have the following cards available here: Hauppauge HD-S2, HVR 4400, Technotrend S2-3200, Technisat HD-S2, Terratec Cinergy S2 . The latter two seem to be rebranded Twinhan Mantis devices.
For which of these cards do you have DVB-S2 scanning AND diseqc implemented at this stage?
