All of a sudden I am getting ffdecsa.dll not found when I try to scan for channels. Any ideas or where I could find it. It is not on my hard drive
Dave
It's been nearly a year since I've had a problem like this, although I used to be plagued by them. I have a recording that simply didn't start when it was supposed to. I now can't cancel it, and any recordings pending behind it have become similarly stuck. Restarting the recording service and/or the computer itself does no good; I've tried about a million times.
It's been awhile since I've logged in, and I am now discovering (to my dismay) that the best freeware ever released is now considered "legacy"; I can only hope that community support for it will continue for years, as I certainly can't afford the time to start from scratch. Hopefully, someone here can help with this problem with 1.4.7
I have a Hauppauge HVR-950Q (ATSC/QAM/analog) but its being listed in NPVR as a HVR-950 (ATSC). Any help on configuring this thing to work in NPVR would be much appreciated. Worked perfectly in GBPVR 1.4.7 (using tweaks that no longer seem to apply).
I am pleased to announce a new version of the Web Radio plugin with NPVR Support. Since NPVR no longer has Net Radio, I though that is important to simplify Web Radio so more of you can enjoy it, hopefully you will agree. Here are some new features
- improved installer
- more meaningful error messages
- native playback of mp3 files (no external player required)
- direct support for several NMTs and MVP running together
- basic install provides Net Radio's Shoutcast listings, plus they are not limited to 25 stations and they show "now playing art"
In addition for those that have only used Net Radio, you are missing out on a lot of music. The Web Radio Add On file http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Plugin/N...AddOns.zip 4.5 MB is worth a look. In this new version I have added itunes-style Podcast support to the many listing shown on the screen shot. Again the native player will be used for mp3 files, and vlc is used behind the scenes to playback other stream types.
Thanks to Jaggy for the help skinning this, to sub for helping figure out NPVR and for adding some plugin support this needed, and to the beta testers from help and feedback
i'm having a hard time installing softpvr also..
i found my original pvr150 card cd, but the download still says no driver found, [pvr150 died long time ago] and aborts install..there is no softpvr on my original cd tho..
i have an old softpvr install, but it won't upgrade it..
so i'm at a loss...
shouldn't there be some easier way to get at least the mux? as it is required for the app to do analog at all..
Here is a demo skin for NPVR basically created by sub and greatly enhanced for Web Radio by Jaggy. It's really unsupported and unfinished currently but I like Mayhem a lot I thank both sub and Jaggy for doing this. I am hoping MixMan will build on this after Icon View comes back.
Could I please have a list of program and ports that must be allowed through the firewall for correct operation of NPVR? It appears that GB-PVR opened the ports it needed. This does not appear to have happened with NPVR.
Edit: I manually added NPVR.EXE and NRECORD.EXE. Is anything else required?
Hi folks

Updated version 1.4 30-June-2010 attached with a name change to BlueRetroVE (note existing users will also have to select the new name in Settings after updating to use the new version skin) There have been quite a few mostly minor changes including the new additions from NPVR 1.5.21
It will install into "..\your data directory\NPVR\Skin\BlueRetroVE" you will have to select it under Settings->General "Active skin" to see it in action.
To get channel logos working you have to put the logos into ..\your data directory\NPVR\Media\Channels & they need to have the same name as your channels.
This version has had a lot more testing & my No.1 Beta tester says it is at full release stage & I feel it is now close to but not quite out of beta stage yet, but still let me know of any bugs you see, or changes you would like made.
