hi there, i'm seeing a strange issue on tuning to my local abc channel. i realize the signal quality isn't that great on my antenna, but it never shows up on the scan list (i've tried 2 different tuner cards - an ati tv wonder 650 pci and an ati tv wonder 600 usb, but neither showed the channel, even on a manual scan of the frequency. it does show some quality / signal strength numbers but no channel shows up.) i tried the usb tuner on my laptop and the missing channel was found, so i copied over the tuning line into my desktop's scan.cache file, and under the mapping config page i was able to see the channel in the preview window and map it to my EPG channel. but when i start up the app normally and go to the channel, all i get is a black screen...
here's the log of it trying to tune in to the channel:
it's been a long time since I came in with my newbies problems: everything was working just fine for years. Then I had this HardDisk crash... Installed version 1.47 and used a backup of my gbpvr.db3 file. The only thing that bothered me was the aspect ratio abberation (too large), that I corrected via ffdshow post processing. Would have prefered an internal solution.
When I choose slick skin, why is it still the blue background?
But not to get you confused, the log files included concern an installation on my other machine. Simply: no video no sound . A black screen and return to tv guide or menu. windows media center is installed and working well.
Another concern: m2ts files. Normal speed, no skipped frames, but, visible lines, as though it was in 320 lines.
thank you and do not hesitate to point me some articles that I may have missed.
My machine:
I7-920 8gig
windows 7 64 bits
Radeon HD 4350
Hauppauge hvr-1250
have I missed a section on Wiki that discusses filters specifically? If not should there be one? Hopefully Hoborg and me are working on a SAF pack walkthrough thing. Now where should that be placed?
Manual?
Miscellaneous?
It is not a plugin or utility as filter installation is so much of GBPVR.
After this will go away for a bit and do some real work on the Wiki instead of just chatting about it!
I've been using the Pinnacle 801e and the Hauppauge HVR-850 in 32 bit Win7 for awhile now with no problems, but I just got a new computer and upgraded to 64 bit, and now neither of them will work.
The Pinnacle 801e crashes the entire system and requires a forced system restart when scanning for signals.
The Hauppauge hangs when scanning for signals and then does not allow me to cancel or kill the process, then hangs when trying to restart the computer, requiring a forced system restart. They do this in both GB-PVR and Windows Media Center, so it's not a GB-PVR problem.
I've tried every driver I can find, including the drivers that Windows automatically install. I'll list the drivers I've found online--
Hauppauge: Every driver on this page, being the "WinTV driver and WinTV v6 application update," "To install the latest driver," and "WinTV installation for Windows Media Center" (which is under the "Windows Media Center install" tab).
I've emailed the PCTV tech support regarding the Pinnacle, but if history says anything at all, they'll blame me for the problem, do nothing to help, and will know far less about this than people on forums. Which is why I'm here.
Ideally, I'd like to get these two sticks working, but, alternatively, if anyone has a recommendation for a card that is guaranteed to work in Windows 7 64 bit (and in GB-PVR, of course), I would entertain such suggestions (I'm using a desktop now, so PCI cards will work).
hi, the font size for the overlay tv guide (F1 during live tv) is too big in CS4-WS. The normal TV guide font is fine though (ie not this thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=41779)
can you point me to the right xml to edit please.
I tried to use WizMetadatagrabber as standalone but got errors, so I installed GB-pvr and Metadatagrabber to see if it would work better.
But I can't match anything, it doesn't even search though the folders. The script worked before on another XP.
In the Gui I find all files, but I get "No entries found".
The log when I ran the script looks like below. What to try next?:
I've been searching around, and I can't the basic information on how to use the dual tuners on the HVR2250. How do I configure it in GBPVR, and how do I tell it which tuner to record from. Right now, all I have is regular analog cable service.
stops at 541250.0.0 or 7 of 20 during scan. there was a thread similar to this but cannot find it, with someone having similar problem. it may have something to due with when it scans 1080i channels, was the idea in the thread. has anybody got suggestions? using xp with sp3. i have been lurking so i have tried
most routine suggestions in other threads.
