  Standard Windows Screensaver?
Posted by: smajor - 2010-01-09, 06:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Does anyone know if is it possible to have GB-PVR call a regular .scr instead of it's built in screen saver?

  MVP and Mpeg formats
Posted by: SFX Group - 2010-01-09, 05:32 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (18)

Odd thing this, i have working recordings from GBPVR (can play them on VLC and working in the UK with a UK MVP (PAL) recorded from a PAL PVR USB2 unit.

However i now have a USA MVP (NTSC) which wont play the UK recorded programs, the MVP works as have other files that it will play.

Will the MVP only play there native (NTSC / PAL) formatted MPEG files?

  Paging NMT users
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-01-09, 01:34 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (15)

I've sent a new beta version of GBPVR to the beta group designed to let user remap some of the remote keys which I think will really help EGreat M34a users get full functionality. There is one area that could help PCH users too and that is the Page Up/Down function.

Currently the Page Up/Down control the volume but I am thinking that many people (like me) might not use the NMT remote to control volume and it would be better to have Page Up/Down act like Channel Up/Down. By doing this you not only can navigate LiveTV but page the libraries and EPG uniformly. Let me know what you think is the best default. You actually will be able to add both keys too, but they won't be as logically arranged as the Page Up/Down

BTW, Hauppauge remote users with the full remote will get both too, I have enabled channel up/down separately from volume up/down.

  "Request Cannot be processed"
Posted by: dvasco - 2010-01-09, 08:05 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (16)

First of all I have read through http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=40394 multiple times. I get this message when I try to get to the saved Network Share "GBPVR:mvpmc" I confirmed that is the name using http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8883/network_share.html and I also checked that is what is in GB-PVR.html I can get to it with the Network Browser method.
I would eventually like to get the PCH to automatically go into GBPVR when it is powered on and I am assuming getting the Network Share to work will be needed for that.

My Tv Receiver PCI Card detects as a Silicon DVB-T Hybrid. Has anyone got any idea if GBPVR works with these cards and if so under what type in configuration. Cheers:confused:

  comcut alternative
Posted by: adm1jtg - 2010-01-08, 06:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I am having issues with using comcut to process commercials. The remux option fails every time. I don't want to automatically process ALL files recorded just a few select ones at times, that I then commercial cut and process into a dvd format. Comcut is no longer being persued/supported is there another free alternative? I have looked at the various comclean files but have not figured out how to make them work independently of the gbpvr pc. Aka with comcut I had a processing computer that had all the key files for comcut and I would simply copy the mpeg and all corresponding comskip files to that directory, then try and process it.

How could I do this with comclean and which version of comclean works best as there are 4 versions.

Thanks in advance for all your help
