  Issue with remote
Posted by: stebay211 - 2009-12-21, 11:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have windows 7 and an MCE remote that does not have a fullscreen button. I also have a small wireless keyboard that was meant for a ps3 but functions on my computer through usb, but does not have the alt function key. The only way I can get the program to go fullscreen is with my wired keyboard. Is there a way I can either change the fullscreen command to something else that I can punch in on my wireless keyboard or MCE remote or can I set the program to load automatically in full screen?

  Raw Images (Canon Raw CR2)
Posted by: psycik - 2009-12-21, 08:52 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (9)

Just bought a new camera. It can output RAW images. I think I can get a codec from canon to display the images in windows, but I guess I need the Picture library to support the CR2 extension.

Not sure what other support may be required. Anyone with any experience with RAW format images?

Problem watching while recording on ATI x1250 adapter
Posted by: keith_leitch - 2009-12-21, 08:29 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

This problem began when I was trying to solve the problem described on this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post360572

When I was first dealing with the topic of the thread (the intermittent motion blur) I didn't realise that it was a deinterlacing problem. I assumed that I was overloading my CPU. To deal with this, I installed AVIVO codecs, which claim to utilise the GPU on the video card, instead.

Now, I can record as much video as I want with no problem; even four sources at once (2 hi-def, one SD and another from the net). However, as soon as I WATCH video while even one source is recording, the recording turns to jelly (metaphorically speaking of course; if it were literal, I would at least have jelly to console me). It is worse when I watch HD than when I watch SD, and it is fine when I watch a simple low-res MPEG1 file (340x288). This seems to indicate that I am overloading the GPU, which is now trying to do the additional work of transcoding my recordings.

I never had this problem before, so it must be based on something I have installed. I have been focussed on the fact that I installed Catalyst 8.11, but pBS and other experienced members tell me that is the best choice for my x1250 adapter (and, indeed, the imaging did improve when I wasn't recording). So, the other two things I installed was ffdshow and those Avivo codecs.

The only flaw to my theory is that UNinstalling both codec packs has NOT fixed the problem. However, when I installed the codecs, I was able to view MOV and WMV for the first time. Surprisingly, now that I have uninstalled them, I can still watch MOV and WMV. Are shards of them hanging around? Would using the "remove everything ATI" utility get rid of them?

I am convinced this is not based on general system speed or stability. My drives are in IDE mode, but both using Ultra DMA 5 or 6. The CPU is not spiking significantly during these activities.

Prime TV Playback Problems on Client
Posted by: hasso - 2009-12-21, 08:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I've got Prime TV (thru DVB-T) which plays back live and recorded shows on the main machine no problems. But on the PC client, while it starts OK, it consistently freezes or skips ahead. Skipping ahead and rewind also do not work consistently (i.e. skips a random amount of time). Really weird as all other channels are great. Nothing in the logs that looks weird. I've got the same codecs on both machines. I've tried Graphedit on the client, but in all cases when trying it on the lastgraph.grf that GBPVR produces, it crashes so I can't determine if the same filters are used. Anyone else notice anything similar with Prime on GBPVR clients?

  Web Scheduling password problem
Posted by: StevHodge - 2009-12-21, 06:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I am having trouble logging in to web scheduling from outside my home network.
It seems to be a password problem, the logs in the gbpvrpublic.dll directory repeatedly show failed matches of password hash. Question How do i change the password. If I change it in config, the change seems to get ignored. Even if I disable web scheduling, and delete the user name and password, the same nine character password seem to appear in the password box, even though the user name is blank and the web scheduling is disabled

  zprocess in postprocessing.bat
Posted by: alevideotestservice - 2009-12-21, 03:20 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (2)

hi,
I am a new user gbpvr.
I would make the transcode from file.Ts to file.mpg with zprocess2 entering the command line in postprocessing.bat.
I already saved the profile "2mpg" and tried to insert the command line as explained in the site gbpvr.
Unfortunately the result is that transcode does not start and I get the request to indicate the path to the origin and destination.
Although I have indicated the location of input and output files, the problem occurs again and do a test I entered the following command prompt: ZProcess2 %1 Trans2MVP auto.
I tried both with the profile 2mpg that trans2mvp, but without success.
Where am I wrong?

  Lesser Systems
Posted by: sterlicious - 2009-12-21, 04:06 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Does anybody have recommended settings to get GBPVR running on my system? I am just slightly under the recommended minimums. I had been using an older version of GB-PVR before I had to format my hard drive and lost the install file.

Is it even possible to run GB-PVR 1.4.7 on an AMD Athlon 1.33Ghz processor?

  Windows 7 and MovieWiz
Posted by: Dan Soussi - 2009-12-21, 12:46 AM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (1)

Hi JW,

A couple of things to note with MovieWiz and Windows 7:

1. MovieWiz Manager - On the "Add Contents" tab, the elipses "..." have disappeared from the button. Otherwise the button works normally.

2. MovieWiz Manager - When starting MW Manager you always get the "User Access Control" dialog box warning. Can this be eliminated?

Nothing critical noticed so far. Perhaps when you get some time to do an update, these things can be cleaned up.

Regards,
Dan Soussi
