I'm seeing all these errors when playing back native (and skipping) UK H264 content via the web client. I can see this error being reported on the forum quite some time ago (related to VOD playback) but nothing recent.
BTW: A few weeks back I stopped using postprocessing.bat to remux to mp4 as I found that I was getting regular lipsync issues with mp4 playback on the TV with AndroidUI and was delighted to find that the latest version of the UI playback native UK content perfectly (hurrah).
I tried both on and off for "Avoid transcoding where possible (for better performance)" but that made no difference, the error still happens.
Playback seems fine so I'm not experiencing problems but the frequency of these errors doesn't seem to be a good thing.

Recently my provider had a fight with a network and we lost 2 of our 4 local channels. That prompted me to pick up a used SD hdfx-2us for OTA. It works great but since then the network and provider settled their spat I've relegated the OTA channels to backup status as they sometimes have a bit of signal issues. I've set up the OTA channels as separate channels designated as "xxxx-OTA" instead of merging them so we always get the cable TV unless we specifically tune the OTA channels.
That's worked great until today when I noticed a glitch. To record a old 1 off episode I've been using a advanced recording with "all channels" so I could pick up a specific episode from any of the channels that rebroadcast those old episodes. The problem is NextPVR is picking up the episode on the OTA tuner before the HDHR-prime tuners.
The long and the short of it is there any way to set the tuner priority for these "all channels" recordings other than disabling the OTA tuner?
I have a episode of blue bloods on 11-4-22 from 9:59 pm to 11:08 pm that does not seem to open. It just kicks me back out. I can play it in VLC.
Any thoughts??

Have another one. Alaska daily on 11-3-22 from 10pm to 11:35pm. The timer shows it recorded for 11:26:58 and the program starts fine at the beginning but the program ends about 16 min into the program then the news program starts like it is programed in NextPVR.
I have been noticing the recordings are not recording all the way thru ever since I upgraded to ver 6. This is my mothers DVR so I did not find out to lately but have not been able to investigate till now. In this example it is Alaska daily recorded 10-6-22 from 10pm to 11:35pm I have 1 min pre padding and 15min post padding but it seems to have cut off the end of the recording.
I cannot figure out why this is happening. I hope someone can enlighten me of this. It is driving me and my Mother crazy.
I'm getting a weird "double vision" type distortion only on the main "NextPVR" screen in the web client. This is with Microsoft Edge browser. If I use Firefox, it is not distorted. I did not see this before the last update. Sometimes I can fix it by restarting the service and sometimes not. Windows 11 using Intel UHD Graphics 630. I have not seen any video issues with other software. Refresh does not help.
Hi, When I try to watch channels I keep getting Starting Device Streaming Failed (transcoder exited). I was able to watch channels but had no EPG at all and I subscribed to the 7 day trial at Scheduals Direct, is this causing the loss of watching channels?
Im setting up NextPVR for the first time. I have a Tuner card installed. But Im stuck almost at the very first step:
When I use the scan channel interface, there are no listings in the drop down for UK freeview transmitters. Ive seen setup videos where they can choose their local transmitter from that list, but for me the only UK entries are two UK/Virgin choices.
I tried the Virgin choices, but it doesn’t find anything. I would try the all scans, but there are multiple ones. Apart from this option taking ages and pickup up weak channels I dont want it to, I don’t know which of those to choose.
How do I get the UK freeview transmitter choices to show up in those menus, which I see in the lot of the setup demonstration videos?
NB: I have an aerial on my roof which picks up over-air (not satellite) freeview in the UK. The cable is working as I can view TV from it when plugged in elsewhere.
This is a newer problem that started in late September 2022 after I updated to NextPVR 6.0.0.220904 Available (5th Sept 2022) and Linux Mint 21(.0 ie latest version in late September) at the same time, but I was likely still on the Jan or Feb 2022 release of NextPVR before late September. The assignment of recordings to available tuners hadn't been a problem during the prior 1-2 years of NextPVR releases.
Logs of the issue happening at 2 separate times are attached, this has been a nearly nightly problem of early recording termination while the tuner is reassigned to the next recording on a different channel while idle tuners are still available, so I can ~easily retest with any alternate log levels and settings. I've tested recording 4 different channel's recordings at once in the same NextPVR server instance (without restarting to clear any potential problems) and the four tuners are active and used as expected by NextPVR without errors.
I thought in the distant past I had come across a setting something like 'favor newer recordings over ending recordings on tuner conflicts' but haven't been able to locate that setting in the current NextPVR config xml files or interface. The closest setting in name is a <ForceRecordingServiceUse>true</ForceRecordingServiceUse> defaulted to true as it has been set in NextPVR versions since at least 2020-12 per incomplete history I've tracked.

The log messages indicate the new recording fails on stream unavailable (presume means tuner in use?) so it ends the in-process recording to start the newer recording (when on a different channel frequency), rather than assign it to an idle tuner. I presume the service status (included below) errors are after affects of the tuner-in-use root cause and not truly the errors indicated of Can't retrieve DVB information for the new delivery system.: Bad file descriptor and adapterX.log entries of [ERROR] dvb_fe_set_parms failed and similar errors that stem from the Tuner In Use issue.
The systemctl status nextpvr-server output is below, I don't believe this gets captured into some of the NextPVR logs

In late Sep when I updated Linux Mint 20.3 to 21.0 it wiped out the installed software including NextPVR, so NextPVR was a clean install and the LOG_LEVEL was defaulted to DEBUG but let me know if you want additional flags set to capture info during another instance of the tuner assignments.
