I copied the zip files to the next pvr directory and deleted the 2 json files.... then ran this command...which seems indicated that deleting of the files was an error?

I am trying to import my version 4 db3, step 2 would to try and get my wvm files from media center imported, but for now I would be happy with the version 4 data....
Any ideas?

I've discovered that the very first (and only the first) time after starting up the UI client, when I press pause during playback, the recording quits back to the npvr menu.
Subsequent pauses work fine.
And it did happen even without logs.....but I can dig them out if it's not reproduceable from your side.

I'm wondering if anyone can offer a bit of guidance on this one. I am working on a project to make an FM radio tuner input for NextPVR, but in an effort to keep it simple I'm intending to make it look like an IPTV device. Maybe best if I describe the idea first.

What I'm trying to achieve is something similar to NextPVR's own method of http://nextpvr:8866/live?channel=1 , such that a channel (frequency) can be requested, and the response is an MPEG-TS stream.  I believe that NextPVR is using VLC to create the stream?

I am using a Raspberry Pi with an FM radio tuner IC attached to it (Si4703). The R Pi will listen for http requests formatted in such a way that the URL requested contains the frequency the radio IC should tune to. I have this part largely working as expected. For example, tuning to http://radio-pi:80/freq=878 tunes to 87.8 MHz.

The output of the FM radio IC is line level analogue audio, and I am feeding this into a USB soundcard. I can run FFMPEG to capture this and create an MPEG-TS stream, and listen to this using VLC on another computer.

I'm wondering, can anyone give me guidance on how to respond to the http request with the MPEG-TS stream? At the moment, the URL request just sends back a very basic HTML page. I am familiar enough with starting another program from Python, but how do I redirect the output of FFMPEG back to the client making the tuning request?

I'm programming in Python.  I'm happy to switch to VLC on the server to create the MPEG-TS steam (or any other tool) should there be an easier way to crack this nut!

So I have spent all day trying to make this work and I am hoping that someone can help me.  I have an HDPVR2 with an ir blaster attached and I can change channels with it however I need to be able to turn the power on and off to the device as well, the the BlasterCfg there is a thing that says you can learn the power button, however no matter what I do it does not work. I suspect I could get it to work with WinLIRC because I have the remote codes but I can't get WinLIRC to work because it wants some file called irremote.dll which I can't find anywhere on Hauppauge site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, newguy2022

I would appreciate some help.
I have an issue , which im sure its something that's gonna bite me in the face, with desktop app of nextpvr that doesnt let me scan channels.
I mean the whole "devices" tab just takes me to the web page and there i can find my dvb-t card and channels and everything works ok, but i remember back then i could use the desktop app to search for channels and everything was working like the web app does.
As is right now i can only watch my channels through the web app and not the desktop app, desktop app just hangs on "please wait"

If you are familiar with FrndlyTV then you know it offers several good channels for a very low price for users in USA. 

I have been using the FrndlyTV for Channels script here

I have found that it works (until recently) as long as I do not try to connect nextPVR Directly to that script to get the EPG (NextPVR may be timing out while waiting for epg) , so I use wget to get the epg from that script and load the file I get from wget into nextPVR

Lately however I have ha some issues. Particularly on the History channel and some others when viewing channels through NextPVR the streams just stop. Kodi logs (all clients are Kodi)   show large audio sync errors.

Loading the output of the script directly into IPTV Simple client o Kodi however works just fine. It seems nextPV or the end client has issues with audio sync

I also tried using xteve https://github.com/xteve-project/xTeVe streaming through ffmpeg and although this helps streams still stop, just with a lower frequency.

I would try using Cabernet https://github.com/cabernetwork/cabernet/releases but I can not seem to surmount an ugly bug that has shown up on 3 platforms.

So I thought that someone else may contribute to this thread to resolve the issue, as I think FrndlyTV is worth the effort

I've had persistent audio/video sync problems with two local broadcast channels, CITY-TV and Global-TV, Vancouver BC.  The Auto A/V Correction in the LAV audio filter helped. It happened after a ComSkip or any skip. At worse, the picture go into slo-mo until the audio caught up.  It got much worse after I switched from an ATI 5450 to an Nvidia GT-710.  Audio was off by up to a second or more and I'd have to skip backwards up to 3 10-second jumps to re-sync. Recordings were OK in VLC and PowerDVD 19 which indicated a CODEC issue.  So, I went back to an old, old standby - AC3Filter v2.6.0b.  I set it up for SPDIF passthrough of AC3, DTS and MPEG audio.

Thought I'd share my story. Thanks to the NextPVR team for a wonderful product.

When I record, sometimes the end time shows up as much further out than expected. In the images shown, you'll see that the program runs from 07:00 to 09:00. The final recordings are all 2 hours long and have very similar file sizes. But for some reason, during recording, the remaining time is many days beyond what it should be.

Any idea what could be going on? I've restarted the RPI and the backend.

Hi there! Had one of three recordings fail yesterday with the old [Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.] error. At the time my internet had gone out. I reset the modem and router to fix the internet problem; and scheduled another recording a 1/2 hour later and that recorded fine no problem.

I use an old legacy Silicon Dust HDHomeRun Dual tuner connected to my router. Both the Tuner and NextPVR are up to date. 

In the past with Windows Media Center even if my internet was out, the HDHomeRun would still function and record. So I am wondering if this is something I need to be aware of with NextPVR?

I am trying to upgrade from version 4 to 6 using a Ceton Card.

The guide is working, it records, but when I try to play a file I get

failed to start requested stream

Also, I lost all of my recorded shows, but hear there is a nexttool to import them
Can you point me to where to get the tool (hoping you can figure out why it won't play)
