I was happly using NextPVR Bck-end on my Raspberry Pi 3 for the last several months with Kodi clients on Libreelec. I now have spent time away from it but came back to it to find that streams suddenly stop. I think the Kodi PVR client was also recently updated, and as far as I know that was the only change I have seen.
Ok, I am pretty sure that what I saw on Libreelec said something about "underrun" but the Mac seems to Say "Underflow". I moved to the Mac for diagnostic purposes . The behavior is the same.
Note: I was unable to get the NextPPVR for Kodi client to install on a clean Kodi Install on Windows.
So I am attaching a Kodi on Mac OSX10.15 log with debugging enabled as well as the Raspberry Pi 3 NextPVR Server logs.
I have checked all of the drives and the integrity of the Raspberry Pi server and that does not seem to be the issue. My Pi is configured with only a minimal set of boot files on the MicroSD card and the rest of the OS resides on an SSD on a USB port. This was the only way I could seem to get reliability.
I installed a brand new MyGica X692 quad card into my fedora machine and get the following from dmesg.

There's three pieces of hardware here. The AF9035 USB Bridge chip, the ITE 9303 chip and the Silicon Labs SI2168 chip.
According to all the documentation I have read, all three chips are well supported by linux. Card works fine in Windows.
The af9035 and ite9303 firmware seem to load fine, but the Silicon Labs si2168 never loads, even when trying different firmware files (at least 4). I've tried each one individually, removing the rest in case of a conflict. I've Googled till blue in the face but cannot find even a remote explanation of what error -5 is. No one seems to know. I've tried every version firmware I could find, Including the ones from Libreelec. I've tried every flavor of Linux, from Arch to Centos to Debian to Fedora to Ubunto, and even Kali ffs, always the same error. After banging my head against this for a week straight, I thought I'd try posting.
Is it possible to add an individual channel to my existing satellite set-up/
Specifically I would like to add Film4.
Apparently it's comes out of Astra 28.2e -10714H 22000 5/6
BUT
I have done a number of scans and all I have come up with is Film4+1 on 10936000 V SID:21200
(which incidentally includes an audio description which I would like to turn off)
Hello everyone, this is the first post, so I immediately apologize if I broke any rules or for any "inaccuracies" in the description. I would like to switch from Mediaportal backend to NextPVR, as frontend I use Kodi, I am trying to tune the receivable channels here in Italy in my area but I have serious problems, I have 4 DVB-T / T2 Digital Devices tuners. NextPVR perfectly detects the 4 tuners, but when it comes to tuning the channels it does not detect them all, some channels find them on a card and others on other cards .. some are missing completely. I don't think it depends on the reception system, since it works with Mediaportal .. I attach .log folder. Thanks for any help.
I was using NextPVR v5 on Ubuntu 20.04. My server broke and I had to start a fresh install.
I have installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
I then tried to install NextPVR (V6) following instructions curl https://nextpvr.com/nextpvr-helper.deb -O
sudo apt install ./nextpvr-helper.deb --install-recommends Install failed (see NextPVR-install output).
I also tried a manual installation following this post: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=59390. Everything went fine except: this is NextPVR V5 the dotnet command executes NextPVRserver.dll, but doesn't close (request Ctrl-C to close, that kills NBextPVR), and all activities are showned. If I don't Ctrl-C it, the NPVR server is running and I can play with it, As soon as I close the terminal or Ctrl-C or reboot, the server stop running.
Just tried pausing/disabling some scheduled recordings and it sets all the other schedules to enabled/disbled..
I am getting multiple recordings of episodes..
BTW which settings take priority; the NEXTPVR server, the kodi plugin settings... if the kodi settings say on one box are not the same as the others..does it only effect recordings setup on that box....
And
Is there a simpler way of doing the prevent dup episodes in the kodi settings.. Maybe just a Yes/No? If the server is set to prevent dups..why would it be replicated in the kodi settings..
I just update my Linux system to Mint 21.0 (fresh install). After the installation of NextPRV EPG always returns the message, (EPG Update complete. [0 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped]), this was working fine before the update. I trying to see if the issue is NextPRV or Schedules Direct. I am present am going through the logs but can not see were the issues is. I have attach a zip file with the logs, I hoping another set of eyes will see the issue.
I upgraded to v6.1.1.221106 yesterday and all seemed OK at the time. Before upgrading I also updated my RPi4B to the lastest Buster components with sudo apt update / sudo apt full-upgrade. I also noticed that there was an update to my HDHomeRun Quatro device so, once the NextPVR updates had completed, I applied the HDHomeRun update (to 20221031) and retuned the device to pick up the new UK FreeView channels that have appeared recently. As I am never sure in this case if NextPVR would pick up the new channels I deleted all my devices and channels before readding and scanning for the new channels followed by a manual EPG update. There would also have been the normal automated EPG Update which occurred at 07:01 this morning.
This morning I noticed that one of the films I had scheduled to record yesterday after the upgrades had failed, this often happens after the type of upgrades applied above. I removed all my existing scheduled recordings and reapplied them via the web app. This was when I noticed that future single recordings rescheduled without any problem but future series recordings (Coronation Street and Emmerdale) were not being saved. Looking at the logs NextPVR seems to think that I already have these recordings but that they have been deleted:
