  PCH network share
Posted by: soccerdad - 2009-09-01, 10:48 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (13)

I got my A-100 today and did a clean GBPVR install and MVPMCX2 setup in about 15 minutes! REALLY COOL installer! It was so easy, I thought I missed something when it completed.

Anyway, per the idiots guide I checked everything out and it work great.

I have an assumption and a question.

Assumption- on PCH reboot, there is no easy way to have it boot up into the gbpvr interface. (I didn't see anything on how to do this)

Question- I tried to configure my network share per section 3 of the dummy guide. I guessed at what should go in the share name and the URL, but it does not work. My system is configured with all the default file positions and file names. My server PC is named DVR2 and the IP is 192.168.1.101
When I browse using the network browser, I see my network workgroup name (home) then the computer name (dvr2) then mvpmc. I get an error that it is unable to resolve the host name.

I would appreciate any help on configuring this part.

Partial title matches are scheduled in v1.4.7
Posted by: nj2112 - 2009-09-01, 07:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

The new version seems to schedule partial title matches for recurring recordings.

eg
A recurring recording with the title "Lost" will match with programmes titled "Lost", "Lost ®" and "Lost and Found".

It seems as as long as the first part of the title string matches the rest is ignored.

MUX 2 - lost it all - please help.
Posted by: mrspaces - 2009-09-01, 05:20 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi all,

Firstly - I LOVE GBPVR - it is superb and thank you.

Secondly - I hope I am in the right section because I wanted some advice since I lost MUX2 from the Winter Hill transmitter.

I am getting extremely broken up pictures of ITV, Channel 4 (etc) and see that this site says MUXA and MUX2 are on low power.
http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SD660144

Well, I could pick up all channels until last few weeks and hoped somebody could point me towards an advanced setup or something to get me up and running with ITV and '4' again.

I have reinstalled GBPVR a few times and rescanned many times. I have the scan set to ALL REGIONS as my initial scans did not pipck up BBC..

I am using a cheapo USB dongle ZAP E3C but to be honest guys, it was been working great for 18 months now and all evidence does point to the low power MUX2 being the cause of my receiving loss.

Would appreciate any advice as cables are all connected fine and other MUX's some through perfect.

Thanks in advance folk!
Cheers.
Mr Spaces

  PsiParser.ax GBPVRTS.ax failed to register
Posted by: HarryH3 - 2009-09-01, 04:35 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

After running the Visual C++ redistributable and then running the install for 1.4.7, I'm getting errors just before the install finishes:

PsiParser.ax failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895
GBPVRTSMon.ax failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895

This system was recently rebuilt and has .Net 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1, along with the 2005 redist.

If I try to manually register those modules I get an error that says "LoadLibrary(PsiParser.ax) failed - this application failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem". It might have been helpful if the error message told me which application failed. Sad (And it sure would be nice if Microsoft would make it possible to copy and paste those error messages!)

OS is XP Home and it was running 1.3.11 fabulously until this morning.

Any ideas?

  NMT and 1.3.11
Posted by: NewUserIdAgain - 2009-09-01, 04:10 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (7)

Hi

I get a version conflict using the installer. I still use 1.3.11 as I can't get the install of 1.4.7 to work.

Should I follow the survivalguide to get it to run?

Does wake on lan work with the NMT devices?

  SoftwareRecorder + FM Tuner
Posted by: DRL - 2009-09-01, 02:16 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

I know this is a long shot but you never know until...

I have an unsupported Sabrent 7130 TV/FM tuner card.

Using the Software Recorder plugin method I have TV working beautifully. I am using the latest Version of GB-PVR on Vista. I have installed lame.ex which I understand is a prerequisite for FM playback.

Is there any way the FM Radio tuner could be recognized in capture and then activated for use? I.E. adding a second tuner profile or something.

Any sort of suggestion is appreciated I am willing to experiment.

Thank you.

D.

Why do some DVD rips not play on PCH?
Posted by: philly_phenom - 2009-09-01, 01:40 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (4)

I've just begun ripping my DVD collection, and some DVD's seem to play fine on the PCH while others just get a blank screen (rebooting the PCH is the only way out).

They all play back fine in PVRX2 locally on the server. Does this have anything to do w/ copy protection or anything? Is there encryption in the ripped images that VLC & apparently PVRX2 can crack, but not the NMT's player?

  EWA Download link request....
Posted by: psycik - 2009-08-31, 11:54 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (17)

Hi, is it possible to get the download link run through TinyUrl?

With IE it's hard to get the download link form the button (FF is ok with the copy link location), and so was wondering if there was another way to get the download link to paste to somewhere else.

The only shows I see are those that I already have setup for recording.

Surely something simple to fix? :-)

  1.4.7 No Signal Detected
Posted by: StumpyB - 2009-08-31, 09:49 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Hi sub.

I can't get 1.4.7 to watch a TV channel. Actually, it tunes in the channel so I can see/hear it, then a second later displays "No signal detected. Please ensure that the antenna cable is connected or that the antenna signal is strong enough."

So I downgraded to 1.3.11 and watching a TV channel works again.

Logs attached for 1.4.7 failure, then 1.3.11 success. All I did between was uninstall 1.4.7, reboot, then install 1.3.11.

My setup:
Windows 7 RC 64-bit
Hauppauge Nova-T 500 dual DVB-T - on the latest driver (4.3.26168.0)

By the way - I am looking to upgrade (side-grade?) my DVB-T card, because I occasionally miss recordings coming out of Sleep mode. I'm leaning towards the Hauppauge HVR2200 PCI-e dual tuner card - because I've read that it doesn't have problems resuming from Sleep. Any comments from owners ?
