Have been using GBPVR for many months. Sometimes, GBPVR will record in NTSC format instead of PAL format. Encountered twice(a few months ago) in the previous version and once(yesterday) in the latest 1.3.7(using 1.3.7 for about 2 months already). Luckily, it happened during my "not important" recording.
Yesterday, my HVR1300 suddenly record in NTSC while PVR350 record correctly in PAL.
Although rebooting the pc will solve the problem, but still worried that 1 day it might screwed up the recording which I want to keep.
Not sure what went wrong. Won't be able to re-produce the problem.
By the way, it's analog recording.
I've had QAM working for more than a year. Suddenly it will not tune QAM channels(analog channels do work). Rebooted-no love. Used the signal strength tool from Hauppage and that seems to show signal strength. Rescanned with config and no channels were found.
However, powered down the PC, removed the power cord, let it sit for several minutes and then booted back up. The HVR-1600 can now tune QAM properly. So this post is an FYI for anyone that's seen this problem. It appears to be a fairly well known lockup issue and sitting w/o power is the solution.

It would be nice to see the start and end times (and perhaps the channel) along side the show name that is being recorded by the capture source within the Recording Status window that shows up when you double click the GBPVR Tray...
Can't seem to get the pc client going. I looked in the logs and the client can't connect to the server. Is there something I need to do on the server to get things going?
I did try Media Portal and I can get the client working there. I'm running XP SP3, firewall is disabled.
I am having trouble scanning for any DVB channels and suspect that the problem is with the capture card setup. I have a Kworld DVBT-210-SE dual card (not a 220 as in subject line), that GB-PVR detects as attached hardware but as a Kworld DVB-T 220. My problem is that it finds no channels but the Kworld hyper media software works ok. Any ideas what is wrong? my filtercheck is below

I installed mediamvp today. The files are playing well. But i cant seek any video file whether mpg or avi. When i try to seek it responds very very slow and seeks just a few seconds.Is it some problem with the video decoder im using??
Upgrade to GBPVR 1.3.7 for using it now with my PCH A-100.
I postponed the upgrade since TV-recordings are SD and the good old mvp starts playing instantenously whereas the PCH delays because of mono. But, I've read in the release notes that Martin has solved this... That would be the defenity blow in the neck for the mvp and send him to the basement.
Anyway, GBPVR/MVPMCX2 starts on the PCH, I can see the Mayhem3 scree and afetr approx 17 sec, the screen goes blank. Only remedy is to use the power-off button on the remote to return to native PCH GUI.
How do I collect log files on the PCH to give me a clue what is happening?

I'm running GBPVR as server running on a P4 2.6GHz connected to the router via wired ethernet and GBPVR as client running on a Centrino 1.5GHz connected to the router via 802.11g
Playback will sometimes stutter. Once this begins it continues forever. Skipping ahead or backwards slightly seems to cure it for the duration of the playback. Simply pausing and resuming cures it but not forever. I realize that wireless could be an issue but the CPU utilization on both ends is 50% or less and the wireless utilization is between 6% and 50%. Note that when it is stuttering, the net utilization is very variable and fluctuates between 0% and 50%. I don't have anything else running that would be using the network. Speed checks to the internet report between 15Mb/S and 19Mb/S so the wireless link would appear to be fine??
Is there a setting somewhere that perhaps increases the playback buffer? Or anything else I can try?
I often (but not always) see conflicts reported when recording back to back shows. Padding is set to zero before and after. This seems to cause a recording to "fail" and then another is started immediately afterwards that succeeds.
Conflict resolution seems to only offer to cancel one of the other.
Is there a better way to handle back to back recordings?
