Will NPVR v5.x run on a Raspberry Pi? I have a 3B+ that I can use, or is it recommended to use a PRi4?
I no longer record from Live TV. The majority of my channels are streamed and the service that I use provides DVR storage. Now a days I only use NPVR for local channels and that's only so I can see local news, otherwise, I really don't use it much anymore and I'd like to move the service to something else.
I have had this strange issue for several months, with Jellyfin v10.7.7, and NextPVR v6 plugin. And now recently after testing with Jellyfin 1.8.0-beta and NextPVR plugin v7. I can't say for sure if it is NextPVR or Jellyfin that is doing this thing, but maybe someone in here could help me find out. I originally assumed it was Jellyfin, and posted a thread on the Jellyfin reddit 6-7 months ago, but received little response there.
So if anyone here has any idea, I'd appreciate any help.
What is happening is that 'Movie' is added as a genre to every show/EPG item in Jellyfin.
(see attached screenshot of a Seinfeld episode, where in NextPVR EPG it says "Sitcom", while the exact same item in Jellyfin EPG becomes "Sitcom Movie") This happens to all genres, so "News" becomes "News Movie", "Sport" becomes "Sport Movie" etc. However it is only the first category movie gets added to. If a show have multiple genres, i.e. "Animated, children, comedy" it becomes "Animated Movie, children, comedy" in Jellyfin. The EPG source is Schedule Direct.
I find this to be a very strange problem and are not sure where to start look. I did try a while back to edit the Jellyfin sqlite database manually and delete all traces of the extra "Movie" genre. But it got added back at next EPG sync.
I have an issue where the web ui will not load channels, I can go into setting and all those tabs work. I have tried ctrl+F5 but the page is still blank, If i go into the app UI I can see the channels and they will play?
Anyone know what I may have did (NextPVR 5.2.6.220206) install
I tried to search if anyone had this question, but I didn't see it. If I'm watching the desktop application in full screen, can I exit back to a smaller window without leaving live TV? I tried mousing around looking for a toolbar, and pressing ESC stops video and takes me back to the guide. Am I missing something obvious, or once I decide to go full screen, am I stuck there until the show is over?
It seems i can't find any channels on a Win-TV-HVR-4400 using dvb-t in nextPVR Windows 10.
It works fine on winTV and DVBViewer software.
I tried to scan channels in my region and "all countries/ all regions" but it doesn't find anything.
For what it is worth, I have been having problems with the new builds of NextPVR and have been changing the decorders over and over and never solving all the little skip, lock screen, etc. problem.
Finally, realized I have been using the same LAV decoders that I downloaded 2 years ago. Download and installed the new latest version LAV decoders and everything is working great.

I re-installed my NextPVR server hopeing for the latest and greatest service, however, I noticed that my IPTV VOD URL is not listed as a device and each time I rescan the URL for new movies it creates duplicate movie entries including movies already listed previously. Please can you assist me to resolve this issue because it's causing the backend database to maintain multiple entries of the same movie. Thanksin advance!
So I'm new to this but I have managed to get NextPVR running today in docker on my Asustor NAS.
So far:
I can connect with the kodi addon from both my coreelec devices.
I have a HDHomerun Connect Quatro Tuner device running on my LAN.
This is detected and I can see 156 channels.
I setup the free trial on Schedules Direct and it finds my region but nothing is populating in my EPG.
I'm in the UK, western Scotland.
I've checked on the webgui and on my client devices but I just get no program data.
I can record programmes and view my recordings.
There's info in the setup guide about adding the HDHomerun IP and some ports, and I've mapped the ports from the host to the container.
I'm not sure where I need to put the IP address.
Using Portainer I've put a new entry in Environment with the Host_IP as the HDHomerun LAN IP but it's still not pulling any EPG data through.
I've attached the logs at the bottom in case it helps.
In another thread you asked me to post a new thread with my problems. Here is a video freeze. I skipped back and forth to get it. Of course, when I was trying to get it it took a few tries. Hopefully attached is a screen shot and logs. I have tried several decoders. I am using the LAV decoder for MPEG2 now.
