I have just noticed that my live TV buffer directory was holding quite a number of huge files.
These would appear to be stuff from UK HD viewing on the PCH. What should be clearing them down, or should I have a scheduled task clear it out?

File names look a little out of the ordinary. TV-6-10920080915_1827.ts is typical (and 12gb).... Logs rolled over by now, but I can reproduce it again tomorrow with logs if required. (pch very much in use downstairs now!).

I have no problem changing channels on live tv or from the tv listings. I can even use my remote control.

But when I have a timed recording, it wont change the channel to record.

Running VISTA, Haupauge 150 card, external digital box with IR blaster.

I've run into an issue that I'm having trouble with. First let me say that my system had been working flawlessly for quite a while. I am running GBPVR 1.0.8.

Then a week or so ago, I noticed that the audio would fail on me on my second and subsequent selections. That is, I can start up GBPVR and watch a show and the audio will be just fine, but if I go back to the main menu and select another show the audio will be gone.

The only way to get the audio back is to exit out of GBPVR and restart it. Needless to say, this is annoying. I've tried the various audio decoder and renderer options, but nothing has worked. Is it possible that some crucial system file got deleted or updated? (I haven't updated my system since this started happening, btw).

After figuring out how the channels are shown(ip list) i thought lets try to capture this on my htpc..
This machine is running for almost 2 years now with gbpvr and a pvr350 card in it and it's working like a charm.. So i wish to keep this setup because it's easy to maintain and it's doing exactly what i want...

After reading and reading (and reading some more) i thought i had the answer on getting this to work on my htpc by using ubustream2 and external recorder +vlc. But no luck (see post above) and because i get no answers on that post (looks like not supported anymore) i thought lets ask it here...

My wish is simple..

1. To be able to use gbpvr to record the streams (like it does with my pvr card and epg)
2. watch these channels (like in normal gbpvr)

Please oh Please who can give me an idea on how to do this..:confused:

I'd like to be able to post-pad (add time to recording end time) for 30 minutes (or more) after locating a program with SearchWiz. I can do this when scheduling directly through the Guide, but SearchWiz seems to limit me to 5 minutes maximum. This is most useful for sports that often run over the scheduled time. Is there a way to do this? Ideally, I'd like the current one minute increments up to 5 minutes, then jump direct to 10 minutes of post-pad, then 15, then 30, then 60, then 90. That works well and is how the TiVo does it.

2. Whos neck can i grab, who said lets use AAC. Its junk, full of problem & i havent heard good audio from it yet.

3. Why cant there be a record button to click while you are watching the video?

GBPVR crashes every time I try to play a ripped dvd from a video_ts folder. I can play avi files fine. Can anyone help?

This is my first post and as far as I can find, it is a doosey.

I have a system that exceeds the minimum requirements to run this software, according the main page. It is a AMD 1.9ghz, just under 1gig RAM, and plenty of HD space. The only area it might suffer in is the build in video, more on that in a second though.

Here is the problem, I install the .Net stuff, the updated file in the .zip file found under 'System files', and made sure I had Direct X9. I also did a couple Windows Updates just to make sure. Then I load the GBpvr software. I set it up according to the Quick Start Guide and then try and run the pvrX2. The only display setting that will even do anything is the Overlay Manager but all it does is open a window, the frame with the standard Windows icons in the corner, and that's it. Nothing ever comes up inside the window.

I tried checking out everything software wise again and it all checks out. So I go running down to BestBuy and get a Vision Tek Radeon HD2400 pci card... since my Mobo only has pci slots. I've beat my head against this card for almost a week and I can't even to get it to run consistently... whole different story... during one situation were the card did work, I still was completely unable to get pvrX2 to load any further than described above.

I will be taking the card back to BestBuy, exact opposite of my experience with this 'buy', and hope to find an alternative that might actually stay working. In the mean time I hoped to find a possible solution here since it almost seems as though the problem is not related to my onboard or pci video.

Any thoughts?

Also, I'm running WinXp, a fresh copy installed on a fresh format just for this system and a fresh download of Sp2
