I seem to have a problem on trying to record one of my HD ASTC channels.
It saves the file out as MPG. When I try to watch it it's just snow. This same channel works fine when I just try to watch it live.

A different HD channel is recording just fine. It's file output type extension is DVR-MS

Not a clue into what could be making one channel make an incorrect file extension type.

The Search feature of the blue skin (default one, not changed from default install) is great, but is there a way to filter only the Movies that are being shown in the future?

Currently, I'm scanning the TV Guide manually looking for movies...

Is there any easy way in GBPVR to single out the movies being shown on channels?

We have a rule in our house that when we create a recurring recording, we set the number of Recordings to keep. We know, otherwise, the disk space will run out!

I've noticed as i scan through the "Ready" recordings, that some recording names have recorded far beyond what we would have specified. When reviewing the Recurring recordings and picking "update", the number to keep is "All Recordings", when we know we set some kind of limit for these.

Are there any known issues with this feature?

I've brought this up before, but I figure since it now has a forum of its own more people will see this.

After a system restart, about 5mins into a video, I get video stuttering while playing Netflix movies about every 5-6 seconds. The image freezes for about .5 seconds, every 5 seconds. I thought I had it fixed by messing with process priorities, but it never lasted. This is absolutely driving me up the wall. It only happens on my XP machine (see my sig for the client) and only in Netflix (not video library or wmp standalone.)

I am off on my 2 week holiday to the beach. I will be on from time to time since (unlike camping) I have broadband access.

I just setup my HDHomerun. GBPVR see's it and can scans channels which I have mapped. Seems that I still can't watch (black window) or record any HD channels (just snow when played back)

GB-PVR is version: 1.2.13
HDHomerun firmware is: 20080723
Set <BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnLivePreview> to 'true' (Didnt fix)

I spoke too soon..I don't have video on the netflix player. Either in gbpvr or in wmp, just audio. Anyone experience this?

Hello all, I've been searching the forums for awhile now and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong... I have a new install of 1.2.13 and am using a WinTV-HVR 1600.

I have no problem using the software that ships with the tuner card seeing tv channels.

I also have no problem seeing the channels when in the digital channel mapping in the config tool when I have live preview checked, if I don't, it doesn't work here either.

In PVXR2 it doesn't work at all; with or without being checked, live tv or recording.

I am using XP. I only have the ATSC/QAM input plugged on the tuner (nothing's connected to the analog input).

One other bizarre thing that I am seeing that may or may not be related: menu options that are currently selected in PVRX2 are indecipherable... meaning I can't read it (and sometimes don't even know what the option is!)

Being new, what do you need from me to help me debug?

Upgraded from an ATI Remote Wonder Elite to a HVR-1600 in seeking to record both analog cable and ATSC broadcasts. I removed the ATi card.

After installing the new HVR-1600 I added two separate capture sources, one for ATSC and one for Cable, both set to device 1. The ATSC channels are mapped to their respective channels. I can view the ATSC signal while scanning for channels and in Live TV. However when I record I get a small file, approx. 16~20Mb that is just garbled crap. It causes ComSkip to crash sometimes when it scans the file after recording. I can record the ATSC signal fine when I use the WinTV software included with the card.

I still record my analog cable as usual.

I use GBPVR 1.0.16 (I run the gbpvr.exe because the video hardware doesn't support VMR9, which isn't an issue because I watch from a separate location.)

I nuked the collection libraries and now this is now working!

How do i uninstall the existing musiclibrary2 and clean install the latest and greatest version?
