I can start out watching analog just fine, but if I watch a digital channel, and then switch to analog, I get a black screen and PVRX2 becomes unresponsive.
Logs attached. If anyone knows how to fix I'm all ears.
Last night we set a TV show to record using the EPG and this morning we found it recorded just over 4 minutes worth. The EPG had the show set for 11pm-3am.
This has happened twice now and I have attached the logs for viewing.

sometimes starting a thread is painful but I am in pain.
Hope I'm posting in the right forum but it is a prob I seem to have with MVP's.
After various issues with my server decided to do a ground build up with PVRX2 v 1.2.13.
I've been using PVRX2 (GBPVR!) for a while now and am used to some foibles but wanted to consolidate this install step by step to get it working really well.
So to this end clean rebuild etc etc.
MVP problem is with LiveTV. Channel change works 2 or 3 times on the MVP then locks up, sometimes I get the audio but no picture, sometimes nothing at all.
Am running Martin's latest MVPMC dongle, have upped MVP LiveTV time to over 2000ms and have detagged Live Preview in Config.
Still no joy but bet me being silly somewhere :confused:
I am trying to record 2008 Olympics shows that run for more than 4 hours but my recordings seem to always finish after 2 hours and 33 min. I have paddings 1 min before and 2 mins after.
Twice now I have played butterfingers with the buttons on my remote and have inadvertently hit "delete" when I meant to hit "play" or "resume." Is there an undelete command? A plugin that will do this? A setting that sends it to the trash? (It wasn't in trash after the accidental delete). My wife nearly killed me when I stopped a video she was watching to adjust some setting in GB-PVR and accidentally deleted her show when restarting.
I seem to be getting there now. Have figured out live tv, epg, but i can't view any videos (non-recorded!). AVI, mpg, mkv, the format doesn't seem to matter.
When i click on them/press play, i get returned to the main menu, and nothing else happens.
I'm getting poor video quality live tv and recordings with both analog and QAM channels. Especially the SD TV, looks out of focus and the pillar bars on my TV don't look black, they are kinda gray. Since I was getting good video quality on the same hardware before I switched from XP to Vista, I'm confident it's a codec thing.
I'm running a FOXCONN 780G mobo w/ the onboard HD3200 graphics, and a HVR 1600. I have a decent processor, 5000+ BE and 2G of ram.
Questions:
1) With my fresh install of Vista Business, what codecs am I currently using? I have not installed anything on the computer except Vista, GBPVR, WinTV, Firefox, and a few other random -not-media-related- things.
2) For my hardware, what codecs will likely give the best results? I'm hoping someone with a similar setup can share there experience.
Let me mention that I don't enjoy trying to remove codecs once there isntalled. Seems like I can never fully remove them. Thats why I'm starting this thread before I even TRY a codec, I want to test the waters as much as I can before diving in.
With all that said, I'm currently leaning towards FFDSHOW or FFDSHOW tryouts, even though I did not like it on my XP machine (could never get the SPDIF out to work). But I am open to other options and everyones advice!
Ok, not that I'm advocating pirating or anything, but if you *MISTAKENLY* download some stuff you're not supposed to it could be bad legally. Therefore, a nice program to cover yourself while in this rare situation would be peerguardian 2 (or PG2). It has blacklists of IP addresses that are known to monitor or mess with people. Make sure you put IP addresses on the whitelist in PG2 that your GBPVR might be accessing so it doesn't get blocked and misidentified.
