I have a remote keyboard/trackpad that is good in many ways but is missing some key buttons.
It's missing 'play' so I cannot skip ads (by pressing play)
I have tried to remap another key to ctrl-P but the program I am using for this (SharpKeys) doesn't allow mapping to a key combination.
Is there anything I can do here?
If the ctrl-p could be changed to a single key then I could remap another key to it.
If the 'play/pause' button could be used for skipping that would be a solution too.
I have a roku and I am testing the roku app. So far it is working great.
I do travel for work and take one of my roku's with me. Obviously the local IP scan wont find anything so imagine my excitement when you could enter a manual address!!
Here is my problem, I am running a port forward through no-ip.com and when I was away I tried entering the address on roku but I could not get it to connect.
Is there a syntax I need to know or is it just not allowed. If it is not allowed, will it be someday?? It would make the NPVR and the roku app system quite handy indeed.
I've been having a problem with failed recordings that comes and goes but now its missing recordings every day. Rebooting Windows 10 seems to restore recording for a day, but then all recording fail again. I tried the following without success. the error I get for failed recordings is:[Failed: Root element is missing.]
I tied the following without success: Updated to latest version 5.2.3. x , alternated between chrome and edge, turned off sleep, rescanned channels to my Haup quad tuner, set tuners to highest priority and finally added a HDHOMERUN dual tuner to my quad tuners for a total of 6 tuners but couldn't import channels and ended up with duplicate channels in my schedule after scanning with the HDHOMERun.
Oh, I have 4.2.5 running on another win 10 PC also using Hauppauge PCI tuners without issues and wondering if I can regress this this 5.2.3 / win 10 PC to use it without losing my recording history.
Could someone tell me how often NextPVR checks schedules to schedule a recurring recording. Thinking of dropping Schedules Direct and just using the EPG data I get from XEEV (Xtream-editor.com). Would the decrease in EPG data affect my recordings?
I've been having problem choosing shows from the guide to record. I am able to choose the show and set up the frequency and the padding but it will not save. I've updated to the latest Windows release but I have the same issue. I am running Win 10 and the log files are attached.
NextPVR was working fine. Just switched over to a new PC and did a fresh install. I can play recordings while in progress, however, any time I attempt to "timeshift" by using the slider bar thru commercials, the playback snaps back to the beginning of the recording and starts playback over. Using the "forward" keyboard key has no affect.
Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated.
Hi all,
I very rarely chase-play but have done on a couple of occasions recently. On both occasions, NPVR has deleted the recording as soon as I stopped watching (in both cases after the scheduled end). This is noted in the nrecord.log and the RECENTLY_DELETED table has been updated. Can this behaviour be suppressed via config.xml (I couldn't see a relevant entry) as the good lady wanted to re-watch part of the program?
Also, the nrecord.log shows deletion at 20:29 which was the scheduled end of the recording but the RECENTLY_DELETED table shows deletion at 20:46 which is when we finished watching.
Logs attached.
Any thoughts/comments gratefully received, thanks.

Nextpvr plays recordings just fine when accessed from a web browser. But Kodi playback quit working after I installed the new DeviceHostLinux file. (That was needed to fix the recording problem.)
Kodi displays a blank screen with no progress when a recording is selected. It exhibits the same behavior on all three devices I've tried.
Since V5 I have a hard time with freezing video. Have tried various decoders. Nablet and LAV work fairly well if I don't try to skip around a lot. The automatic commercial skip with comskip works well 99% of the time, but if I skip around like trying to skip stories in the news half the time the video will freeze and the audio will continue for awhile and then stop. Sometimes I can get it to restart by fffwd and rev a few times, but then it may have skipped ahead several minutes. Sometimes I need to stop and restart the playback. ffdshow decoder: as soon as I hit play the program exits. Arcsoft and Microsoft decoders: Hit play and nothing happens. Seems to think it is playing since keys have no effect unless I hit stop, then it exits play and says the show has been watched to the end and do you want to delete it. Main concept decoder: No closed captions. SRT closed caption file is detected but if you select it no closed captions are displayed with any decoder. I am using the NEXTPVR Client. If I just let the show play 99% or better of the time it plays fine. I had one exception where the NextPVR playback would freeze at a certain point, but using three other programs there was just a disturbance there. Unfortunately, in playing with it a lot I accidently erased it.
