I have an issue with the aspect ratio defaulting to Fill mode when starting playback of any UK HD recording. Monitor aspect ratio is 16:10 and ideally I would like playback to start in Auto mode so it displays with small black bars, which is what happens with SD recordings.

I have tried setting mode to Auto manually but this setting is not being saved and it defaults to Fill each time. I've also noticed if I switch between windowed mode and full screen the mode switches to Auto automatically.

I'm using NPVR 5.2.3.211114 and latest versions of LAV audio and video decoders with default settings.

Is this a known issue or does anyone know of a workaround? It's slightly frustrating having to manually set the correct aspect ratio each time.

I am using sat->IP DVB Kabel tuner that is build in my DVB Modem (Fritzbox).
NextPVR server is running on an LXC Container under Debian Buster (Promox). I have installed the lastet version of NextPVR.

The nightly EPG update using "DVB/ATSC EPG" results in 2 channels (Das Erste, WDR HD Köln) having no EPG information.
If I then manually update the EPG it (sometimes, actually most of the time but not always) succeeds in updating the EPG for those channels. I have already extended the search time to 120 secs.

Are there any further parameter I may try to influence the stability of the EPG retrieval?

Also I have noted that if the EPG information is longer text, then it is truncated. This is sad because it would be great to have the full description of the TV show. Is it possible to enlarge the text storage.

I seem to have got a tuner stuck on CBeebies HD Channel.



Can't seem to find any reason why. Presumably restarting the docker would fix it, but I'm not constantly going to be on the lookout for this

I have an issue with my 'channels.conf'. The dvb-c scan finds the channels at the frequencies, but the 'adapter0-DVB-C-channels.conf' shows nonsense frequency values like '4294967288', so tuning the channel isn't working.

I can make the '.conf' work with values from the log, but after a new scan the conf values are corrupt again.

As I didn't find another post with the same issue, Does anybody know this topic?

Can anybody tell if this is a bug or something to configure at my setup?

I am trying to search for TV stations in Kabel TV in Munich in Germany.
The predefined search settings do not work and only show a very limited number of TV stations.
If I am performing a search "All countries...", then more TV stations are found but still important stations are missing.

I realized that TV stations especially QAM 64 are effected.

Is there a way to define own search settings?

I upgraded to 5.x from 4.x and lost the ability to put in an adhoc s-video channel. How do you add an S-VIDEO channel on a haupauge PVR  1955. When I was on Allo I had used S-Video to get channels from a cable modem. Now I am using OTA but I still need a S-Video channel to get data from a VCR.

After many months of happy service, a few days ago I noticed several recording fails. 

While I was investigating, I was prompted to upgrade to Impish. That failed and now I can only boot ubuntu 20.04.3 in recovery mode.

Nextpvr starts. I can open a channel from a browser and receive a signal after restarting Nextpvr one time. But every subsequent try fails. 

I reloaded the tuner drivers from their PPA. No help.

Anybody else have problems in receiving the Channel 9 group of channels in Sydney?

I raised this about 18 months ago and gave up,  and got the Hauppauge WinTV app to do the job and it picks up all the channels.

The other day upgraded the WinTV app and decided to give the latest NextPVR go and see if the problem still existed.  All the channels of the Channel 9 group are still missing I thought the latest version would fix it 

Family members would prefer this rather the Hauppage app (horrible clunky subtitles)

I have been testing V5 for a bit now and absolutely love it. when paired with roku it defiantly fits the bill to a T.
There is defiantly a donation coming after I have a chance to put some real hours on my setup.

With that being said, there is something that would make the donation quite a bit larger and that would be support to import specific channels from
ustvgo.tv, ustv247.tv and live94today.com.......or any one of these. right now Im using a raspberry pi to accomplish this but it would be amazing to have an all in one application....... I/many  wouldn't even mind if it was not viewable outside the local network.

Am I just missing a way to do this in V5?????
