any chance of making the download links a little shorter??

I like to pass a link to the odd person to download a recording or a music track...it's just the people receiving the links are a little computer unsavy, and haven't got the concept of linking a two line link together.

Was just wondering if possible to shorten them....

I have been using GBPVR or (PVRX2) for about a year. Thanks Sub all your efforts. I had a question on the audio directshow decoder priority. I have both the cyberlink PDVD7 and the sonic 4.2 audio decoder filters installed on my system and they both decode everything that I have needed. I recently added ffdshow and have been using it only to normalize (boost) sound levels during playback (all decoder codec disabled). I have been having problems getting audio from the cyberlink filter+ffdshow filter combination only on Live TV Playback. For all other recorded media playback, the combination works fine.

With the Sonic+ffdshow combination, everything plays back fine including Live TV. Since the Sonic filter works with Live TV, I have set this as my preferred Audio Decoder. The filter merits are set to the same value for both the cyberlink and the Sonic filter and I need to keep it that way for another application I am using. My problem is that even though I have the Sonic filter set as preferred, the graph constructed by PVRX2 uses the cyberlink filter. The only way I can get PVRX2 to use the sonic filter is to set it's merit higher than the Cyberlink one. This wouldn't be a problem except it causes some problems with another application.

I guess I was wondering what does the Preferred Audio Decoder setting do. I doesn't seem to have any effect on my PC.

Having a little trouble getting the "fake" MCE remote control from Hong Kong to work with my GBPVR setup (I bought it off of eBay and it included a dongle) . What is the difference between the two MCE remotes? How would I setup the one I have with GBPVR?

I am trying to map the "Last Channel" button to my remote. The Wiki and the xml file says that it is ^w but that gives me the video and stream info that Sub added. Basically it does the same as ^o. Has the "Last Channel" key map disappeared or changed?

When I've watched a recording and get back to the GBPVR gui, I usually press the enter button on my remote and choose delete. But when I press enter, the recording starts to play again. I do see the popup (where I would choose play or delete) very shortly, but I never get the chance to make a selection.

A long time ago I bought an ATI TV Wonder Tuner for cheap and toyed around to see what I could do. I was unable to get it set up using any type of Media Center software (which is how I know of GB-PVR). I am running an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ Barton 2.1GHz, 1.5gig Corsair XMS DDR RAM, ASUS A7N8X-Delux Mobo and an Asylum Nvidia Geforce 5900 Ultra on Windows XP ProSP2. I still have that tuner and am thinking about trying again but I was just wondering what I might expect considering my setup. Ideally I would like to have a setup that could handle HD-PVR'ing but since I cannot, in good conscience, upgrade components that are out of date with components that are slightly less out of date I am stuck with what I have. For now I am fine with just the ability to record a standard/analog TV show... so what do you guys think? Do I have something to work with or should I give up on my endeavors until I can buy/build an up do date system?

I've started a new thread on this as this one http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=31655 got a bit convoluted. and it's possibly not related.

I just noticed a recording to dvr-ms which seemed to have got stuck. The systray showed it was still recording but it had started 45 minutes before I spotted the dvr-ms file was 97MB. I checked the log and the rec. service was logging the signal strength OK and was quite happy that it was still recording.

I let it go to completion and the log showed a normal cleanup - the temp files were deleted and I ended up with a 96MB dvr-ms file which I couldn't play in pvrx2 or WMP.

One thing I also noticed was a recording on my PVR500 had stopped (as it should have done) 7 minutes after the truncated one had started.

Coincidence? I rarely get dvb-t recording problems. I have issues with transcoding from time to time but it's been a long time since I had anything like this happen to a recording.

After I saw this thread, I thought I would take a stab at creating a Guide that would show the inset.

I've run into an issue when the inset should be showing in the guide screen.

1. I start watching live TV (or a recording).
2. When I hit Home to return to the Guide from watching Live TV, the inset window is there, nice.
3. When I hit home again, I move to the main menu and the inset window is there, nice.
4. When I re-enter the Guide the inset window doesn't show.
5. When I return to the main menu it shows again.
6. If I enter Recordings or Video Library it shows fine.

In the TV Guide skin.xml I added InsetRect to the placement and changed a bunch of the sizes/locations:

Hi, I' m having this problem with Live TV.

Everything else seems to work fine, for example overlay on primary - ok; WMV renderer on secondary - ok. But overlay on secondary - no video, just sound. I'm on Vista though and I can see that Aero is temporarily turned off, so overlay is definitely initialized, but it seems that it is not on the proper place on the screen.

I have searched for solution on this forum and in the FAQ, but changing aspect ratio didn't help. Has anyone the same problem? Thanks for any help.
