  H.264 ATSC broadcasts in U.S. ?
Posted by: nitrogen_widget - 2008-03-21, 02:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I've just installed an HVR-1600 & started setting up all the ATSC channels I receive.

Each station has HD content then a some secondary channels boradcasting their SD content.

On of the SD Channels is PBS & according to GBPVR via the ctrl+w key combination is sending an SD H.264 stream.

Is that posible?
I wasn't aware they were using H.264 in the U.S.
I thought it was all HD mpeg2.

  Capture resolutions
Posted by: d3cadent - 2008-03-21, 01:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,

I am using an analogue capture card (WinFast PVR2000). When I set it as a capture device, I can only specify a limited set of screen resolutions to use, the highest of which is NTSC 720x480 / PAL 720x576. I would like to use the highest resolution available on my card, which is 768x576. Is there a way I can access that mode?

Thanks,

Tom

EVR on Xp, is there an EVR patch?
Posted by: mkenyon2 - 2008-03-21, 12:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

In this thread:
http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=15

Was mentioned an EVR Patch for XP, to run PVRX2 in EVR mode.

Could we get more info in this thread so it's faster for searching? Maybe a sticky or something on the Wiki?

Intelliremote for MCE and Creative Remotes
Posted by: Melloware - 2008-03-21, 12:49 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (10)

I am posting this here because one of my users mentions he uses GBPVR and my application Intelliremote for controlling it so I thought I would post.

For an easier solution to map your MCE remote or Creative remote to use GBPVR you might want to look at Intelliremote. It is vastly simpler than EventGhost and Hip yet much more powerful and easy to configure. Want to start GBPVR with the Green Button? No problem. Want to have one set of remote mappings for GBPVR and a completely different set when you are in Itunes? No Problem. Intelliremote will even notice when you change applications and switch remote profiles for you.

Check it out...

Posted by: piotre - 2008-03-21, 12:03 PM - Forum: Video Archive - Replies (3)

Hello everybody,

I am having trouble changing the font size of the video archive plugin wit the Community3 skin. I can not find the respective skin.xml. Video Archive is the only plugin that is appearing with tiny, almost unreadable font.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,

  Back to Standby
Posted by: csc12345678 - 2008-03-21, 10:25 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Previously when the GBPVR wakes up from standby and record, it did not go back to standby. But when I recently upgraded the software, I notice that goes back to standby.

My power settings does not say standby, so I wonder if this is a new feature ?

  Transcode errors divx xvid wmv
Posted by: robnotbob - 2008-03-21, 08:39 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Having trouble transcoding mpeg files to divx xvid or wmv. Whenever I convert to either format the resulting file is corupt. I can play them ok but the video is all over the place, by which I mean it plays a few frames, pauses the jumps to where it should be. The audio is fine and in sync with the few frames it does play. I have tried messing the encoder options on divx an xvid but without any sucess.

Has anyone come across a similar problem?

I just lost about 200GB in recordings!
Posted by: LaserBait - 2008-03-21, 06:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I just lost about 200GB in recordings! I don't know how or why (or even when), but a LOT of my videos are just "gone". I had about 160 GB free just the other day, and now I'm at ~330 GB free. Is there anything in GB-PVR that "cleans house" on old recordings that haven't been watched in some time?

I checked the RAID and there is no hardware issue there, and I did a scandisk on the filesystem and it came up clean. There are no viri according to AVG. So I am at a complete loss as to where they went.

Currently I'm running GB-PVR v1.1.5. I'm attaching my logs...

No mouse in web pages from Ubustream 2.2
Posted by: aa7 - 2008-03-21, 04:13 AM - Forum: UbuStream, Web Radio and Universe - No Replies

I have had this problem: when I add an rss feed of youtube videos to ubustream and then try to open individual videos with the "web site" button (nothing else works nowadays) - the youtube page opens with the video I want, but my mouse pointer disappears! The right-left clicks seem still to work though. This makes it difficult to maximize the size of the video in the youtube player or to browse the suggested videos.

I did not use this "Web Site" button before, as youtube videos used to work with just VLC, so it might always been this way, but now it seems to be the only way to watch the youtube videos in Ubusteam - and it would be nice to have the mouse pointer in the browser window.
