I don't think this is a gbpvr issue, but I have a problem playing dvb-s recordings on my MVP through gbpvr. I have some dvb-s recordings that I did on dvbdream. When I play them, the audio goes out of sync if I FF, pause or REW them. Sometimes I can get it back, othertimes not. I am just curious if anyone knows why this would be. My standard cable (pvr150) recordings are fine. Can this be a frame rate issue or would it be something else? It is 29.97 for the dream recordings, I don't know what it is for the 150 recordings.
Not a big issue, but I would love to know what is different about these mpeg2 recordings. I searched this forum and google, but still don't really have an idea.
A link has been set up for users to comment and provide feedback on mvpmc and its features. Feel free to add your comments. I hope this works the sourceforge stuff is terrible
I collect EPG automatically from various internet sites. Very often show titles are changed slightly so when I schedule a recurring recording often some shows are missed.
To overcome this problem I wrote a python script which schedules recordings on a basis of similarity in their titles. The script is run in PostUpdateEPG.bat and directly modifies the gbpvr database.
The problem is that GBPVRRecordingService does not immediately recognize modifications of the database. I tried to use "gbpvr -OnlyUpdateEPG" to trigger GBPVRRecordingService to reload pending recordings. Unfortunately this does not work, since it reschedules recurring recordings and deletes some of those that my script schedules because their titles do not match.
Is there another way to trigger GBPVRRecordingService to just reload pending recordings from the database?
Did a search of the forums and am about to look more at the Wiki -- and before I do I want to be sure that my Slingbox Pro and gbpvr are being used the right way...
I have the Slingbox Hooked up to my CableTV signal and it is being used as a tuner.
I view it from SlingPlayer on my PC
My PC does *not* have any kind of TV-Card... just the LAN -- and from there I get the SlingPlayer to take the signal from the Slingbox Pro.
So, my question(s):
1. Can gbpvr work as a dvr with this scenario?
2. Can gbpvr work with the "tuner" screen that I see on the screenshots?
3. Is there a good source for more information on this combo? (I've been over to slingcommunity and the folks there are terrific, but I thought I'd ask here too).
Perhaps an inunifromed question about capability, but as a new user I'm considering some possibilities of integrating GBPVR into my HomeSeer setup. I note that there is a HS plugin that allows control of HS from GBPVR. What I'm wondering is there some way to do the reverse - i.e. control GBPVR from HS. Specifically, I'd like to be able to request specific recordings (or channel selections) from an external program (such as HS) that GBPVR would then process. I'm assuming that this would require some kind of software interface (e.g. analogous to a command line kinda invocation). Can someone point me to where I might find info on how to do this? I'm not a programmer so I'm not able to develop a plugin for this. Thanks in advance.
I have a Hauppauge nova-t 500 dual digital tuner and it is working great in gbpvr all apart from one channel (SBS)
When i scan for the channels it picks up SBS and even displays it playing in the little preview window until i click on another channel then go back to SBS and then GBPVR hangs and need to be killed and restarted.
So even though it finds it and will initially display it in the preview window, itwont work at all after that. It gets guide info for all channels exept SBS and will not let me change to SBS (it just hangs when i try).
I have tried rescanning the channels with different options and with both tuners and still exactly the same result.
The channel scans and works fine in Mediaportal.
Has anyone come across a similar issue or have any suggestions? It's really very maddening as this is the station we watch most.
I've scanned thru the forums, but have not found a reasonable explanation or solution for what I am experiencing which is the inability to get audio on SD recordings off the QAM tuner.
I have a HVR1600 that I have configured to use analog via comcast STB, and QAM over the comcast feed for both SD and HD channels. Several of the analog channels are being broadcast as QAM also (SD), so some channels are defined on both tuners.
I can watch LiveTV on both the Analog and QAM tuner just fine, both video and audio work perfectly.
If I record a SD channel (ex. 5 NBC) via the QAM tuner, I get video, but no audio.
If I record the HD version of that channel (105 NBC HD) on the QAM turner, both audio and video are fine.
If I record the SD channel (5 NBC) via the analog tuner, both audio and video work fine.
I have tried various combinations of the BDA Muxes (MS DVR-MS, ATI, Cyberlink, TS,...) along with various combinations of the Playback Audio Decoder (AC3 Filter, ffdshow, MPEG Audio decoder, Intervideo, ...), all with the same or worse results.
In the resulting MPG files (Cyberlink Mux) when analyzing with GSpot,
the audio track for SD channel was 0xbd[0x80]:48000Hz 96 kb/s , mono (1/0)
the audio track for HD channel was 0xbd[0x80]:48000Hz 384 kb/s tot , 6 chnls (3/2 .1)
What must I do to get the SD channel AUDIO to record (and playback) both on the Analog tuner (ok) and QAM tuner (not ok for SD broadcast)?
Worse case, I guess I can simply delete the SD channels from the QAM tuner, but that limits both my recording AND viewing capabilities.
Any suggestions?
I'd be glad to supply logs for any of the combinations that should work.
I have an account with an online streaming website where I need to launch their website in order to obtain an MMS URL for playback.
I've written a small app that automates this part, and spits out the right URL that UbuStream can use. I can save it to an .asx file that UbuStream can launch, but my app must be run beforehand to update it.
Is there a way I can have my app run just before UbuStream does its thing? I'm hoping to use it in timeshift channel mode and somehow run my app (which will take just a second) and then let UbuStream start playback.
How can I do this.. can anyone help me out? Thanks!
installed hvr4000
when i try to scan i get
a box with"GBpvr was unable to start the bda device you have configured .check the device is configured properly ,and not in use"
followed by unhadled exception
i have not loaded the haupauge software (would rather not have to) so cant say if it would work with it
I have installed .net3.0 and would like to try EVR with my XP machine as I have tearing issues and VFE has issues when I exit PVRX2. However I do not seem to have a way of selecting EVR, I can only choose between the various VMR renderers, can anyone help with this please
