So, I am gearing up for next years cut over to digital. I currently receive only over the air channels, no cable or satellite. I am wanting to get a digital to analog converter for my antenna, but no see that this converter comes with its own remote. So my understanding is that the converter will only send the digital signal of one channel at a time to my capture card. This of course causes a problem since GBPVR needs to be able to adjust what channel it is recording. Also, I use an MVP where my TV is actually located and need a way to change the channel still using my MVP. I have read about an IR Blaster being needed, but want to know if this solution will work with a MVP configuration. TIA! I love GBPVR!
Please help me. I am running the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-3000 TV Card in my machine, and I have everything working.
I am however experiencing some strange problems with the video. As i have digital (freeview) antenna plugged in I have configured it as DVB-T.
The Audio is perfect, the overlay of the TV channel information comes up perfectly, but only some channels (valid freeview channels) actually display the video - the ones that do are very good quality, and the ones that don't, don't display intermittently - so sometimes they work, other times not.
Have tried basic settings changes - can you offer any advice? will the logs offer the key?
Not sure if BGPVR supports 64 bit or not but i tried it. Everything works great except a couple things.
1) The GBPVR frontend does not work at all. Every time i try to watch anything it says I have no guide data (when i clearly do because I use PVRX2 perfectly all the time).
2) I get no sound when playing back recording in PVRX2. I have set up my audio decoder and renderer in the playback tab of the configure program but nothing I pick seems to work. I'm not really sure if this help but I had trouble getting sound during live TV playback for awhile but playing with the audio decoder worked for that.
Using the Signal Monitor application I'm getting a signal rating of 31 (in the yellow). Running the primary line from the entry point to the house straight into the card without any splitters in the way only gets a reading of 32. With my current signal I can record CBS perfectly in HD. ABC drops frames and results in terrible playback quality. Any ideas why this might be the case. Will the cable company come out and repair my signal if I only get 32 off the pole?
I have a HVR-1600 with a HP remote & dongle/blaster trying to control a Dishpro381. I follow the guide to setup everything up and figure out how to make the dish box shoot the codes to my MCE dongle so I could program it since I have a UHF remote. I can control everything in GBPVR but I have erratic channel changing problems.
The IR blaster port 1 wouldn't do anything. The blaster port 2 works sometimes and when it does it has a hard time changing the channel. For instance I will say change to channel 182 and it will change to 82 or 2 or some combination of the number. I tested the codes over and over to make sure the blaster is placed right and that the codes are working.
Does anybody know why the IR blaster ports work sometimes and how to get the channels to change correctly?
After letting the screen saver go in ML2 my system goes unresponive. I cannot get it to come back. It keeps playing music, but cant get back into it without Alt+F4. Can some one please help me out?
Hoping someone could shed some light on this little thorny issue of mine!
I've been running GBPVR under Windows XP for ages, with no problems, with two Hauppauge cards, the PVR250 and Nova-S Plus.
Since upgrading to Vista Home Premium, I can't record successfully using the PVR250, I get large files of an unplayable format. I've downloaded the latest vista drivers from Hauppauge, but still no joy.
The log from the recording service shows the following error:
Code:
ERROR Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarAudioDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogAudioIn
Using the Tuning Assistant returns a similar error. I can see images from the channel scan, but unsurprising there is no audio.
is it depend of regional? if I record tv with subtitles srt in PAL format, and I get error srt. e.g bad teletext of any page.
please tell me. I dont have time for write, that's why this bug is very old since 6 month.
now I have time and tell to you.

Hopefully this is the support forum for the EWA too :o
I've searched for this type of error but haven't found an answer yet.
I had v 0.72 before this one and sometimes when I tried to mark a show to record later on, it just told me 'Recording failed' (I think it was this anyway)
so now I upgraded to 0.73 thinking this would go away and it has, kinda
now I don't even get the record button, just a 'Close - take no action'
What am I missing here or doing wrong?
can't find any conflicts either.
If it all is correct doing this, it sure would be nice with a little text telling me why this is
