Been using MovieWiz for a while now and I have come to be somewhat addictive to it.
But there are some small things I would like to do, depending on the way I mostly use it. The thing is that we selldom bother to change category. We just keep browsing through the whole list. So what I would like is:
* Moviewiz is sorted alphabeticly, which is good, but it would be great if the list where "endless". That pressing up on the first item got me to the last. And came to the first when I press down on the last one (z-something).
* I would also like to see the selected categories for the movie in the overview field.
* Last I would like to browse the movies and start it with OK button. I know I can start it with the Play button, but rarely use it. If I am in the overview field and press OK, then I like to have the popup.
A key-mapping tweak for this would be great (then it doesn't mess up for others).
64bit AMD PC - I've put Windows 2000 on it and for much of the time it works. But....
On an almost daily basis it blue screens with driver issues, various different ones with various different blue screen codes. Generally it happens when watching a recording or live tv. The driver indicated in the error is often different.
I ran a memory test that went through the memory a number of times over a few hours and all was fine. The power supply is within spec.
I can still accept it as a memory error as the rate of bsod is less than the time I spent testing the memory. However it would have to be a timing error rather than just a bit error. ie, I could slow the access times and see if that imporves things.
Am I expecting too much of win 2k on 64 bit platform? Should I change to XP 32 bit or even 64 bit? if so what version is home ed. sufficient?
What are you running?
Any advice would be helpful as I'm getting desperate and sour looks from the other half each time it reboots.
Apologies if this has already been brought up, but the search isn't working (it returns 0 results for "EPG"). I purchased the yearly full listings package from CTTV, which includes:
Quote:Show's start time, end time, Duration, Title, Sub-Title, Description, Genre, Show Type, Episode Number, Series Number, Original Air date, Tv Rating, HDTV, CC, Stereo and Dolby.
Movies: MPAA Rating, Start Rating, Advisories, Run Time and Year.
But the EPG isn't displaying most of this information. Is there a way to get it to do so, or did I just spend twice as much as I should have, since basic listings (featuring all the info I can currently see on the EPG) are only $7 for the year? Who else uses CTTV? Thanks in advance.
I think I finally figured out what the heck is wrong. I haven't been able to make the picture from my PVR-150MCE un-youtube-y. On a hunch, I set the bitrate for LiveTV in the capture device settings to 1500 kb, or whatever, the lowest it can go. Observed the results. Set it to 12000, the highest it can go. No difference. Any ideas out there as to why this is happening? Could this very well be the answer to the riddle?
Hello,
I get the following error when I try to run the tool.
Code:
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>ProgramImageTool.exe
Unhandled Exception: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: Unable to open the data
base file
unable to open database file
at System.Data.SQLite.SQLite3.Open(String strFilename)
at System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteConnection.Open()
at EPGHelper.ProgramImageTool.GetAll()
at EPGHelper.ProgramImageTool.Main(String[] args)
I currently use Microsoft Access as my database for GBPVR. Is that what may be causing this?
Every time I finish a scheduled recording my system starts to transcode it. I've not instructed it to do so either in the scheduling of the recording or via the conversion check boxes in the config tool.
The net result is that not only do I have an MPEG recording but an AVI one also.
I just upgraded to an NVidia GeForce 8400 GS PCI-e card (also upgraded motherboard), and now I get this strange thin black vertical bar on the right-hand side of my screen -- but only during live TV. During playback of recordings, there is no bar. Furthur, this only appears to happen when using my PVR-150 source -- I also have a HVR-950 for OTA/ATSC, and don't see the bar during live TV with that source. Using latest GBPVR (with patches), PureVideo Decoder, and using VMR Custom (PVRX2). ....on Windows XP (SP2).
Anyone experience anything like this? I'll keep playing around...
I been messing around thinking about how easy it is to lose all the description info for a recording and i am trying to find the easiest way to get that back so I can figure what the heck I have in a name.
First let me explain what I have done...
I love the recordings menu because if I click a show I get a description of it...
if i use the video library I get a list and when I click a file it just starts with no popup or info...
the recordings menu is clean and quick...
Tried MovieWiz but having problems with it halting trying to get internet info for some reason....
I just discovered the MpegImport tool and it scans a directory for video files and creates an XML file and it will then import the XML info into PVRX2 into the recordings menu. http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/MpegImport
This is cool because I just realized I can scan an old Directory and create the XML file and edit the movie descriptions and import them... but for some reason I cannot re-edit this info and like an idiot I left everything blank so I would love to learn how I can edit in this info myself...?
