recently started to play with last.fm and now wanted to activate the feature in ML2. In the config however, when I test my account details it says test failes (but I'm 100% sure I've used the correct credentials).
I haven't been able to log in all day and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? The logon button does nothing and everything else I've tried fails too.
The site has a different look so I'm assuming they're having some sort of trouble or something.
A second registration seemed to take for a while until I shut down then restarted the browser. I even clicked on the confirmation email link and it said "user doesn't exist", I do exist dammit.
I'm afraid to go look at my EPG for fear of seeing a mess. Nothing has failed to record so far anyway.
I recently decided I hated Vista so I moved back to XP. I used nLite to create a smaller XP installation without all the bloatware.
I tried installing GB-PVR but any windows I tried to open would result in a .net 2.0 error message. I found out that this is because I don't have Windows Media Player installed in my stripped down version of XP.
Now I obviously really don't want to have WMP since I went through so much hassle to delete it. My question is, what specific files from WMP does GB-PVR require to work? Is there anyway can save these required files and uninstall WMP?
Hey everyone. I'm having a problem with motion blur with sports broadcasts. It's especially apparent with the ticker at the bottom of ESPN which scrolls news. That thing is almost unreadable. I've tried using a new decoder (MPV). I disabled deinterlacing on it like I was recommended to do. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can fix this, I would appreciate it soooo much. Thanks guys!

Any ideas? It turns out I am getting the same error with mjpg. Both file types play fine in Media Player.
This is only halfway a GBPVR question, but you all are so smart, perhaps you can answer.
I have GBPVR on a machine (3.4GHz P4, XP MCE) I bought for my wife to play her CD's (ripped to mp3 and played with WMP). The sound card (built-in) digital output goes to the stereo (which has speakers around the house), and the analog channels go to the Plasma TV.
Since it is only one sound card, if I want to watch TV, we have to stop her music.
Can I put a second sound card in, connected to just the Stereo for WMP, or just the Plasma for GBPVR, and thus run both programs, both sound streams, through separate devices? If so, how do I specify which device GBPVR uses? Which one WMP uses?
The odds here must be pretty high, but I triggered this "bug" just a few minutes ago, and I thought I'd drop a note in here even though it's probably not worth even spending the time to fix. In a way, it's more of an unforeseen event sequence than a bug, but here it is anyway.
At 9pm, a program I was recording had ended, but since there are 1-minute pads on either end, it was still going to record for about minute or so. I had watched it while it was recording, and so I had no use for it. Rather than let the recording finish (stopping me from deleting it until comskip was done) I went into the menu system to cancel it -- as I've done hundreds of times.
I have quite a few pending programs, so the pending list was long. The next pending program was Stargate Atlantis, scheduled to begin at 10pm (or 9:59pm with the pre-padding.)
Program 1: 7:59pm - 9:01pm
Program 2: 9:59pm - 11:01pm
It's 9:00pm (and change), with me trying to cancel program 1 that I no longer need, the following happened:
With the program 1 still recording, I went to the pending screen, selected the program, chose cancel, and the confirmation dialog appeared.
The very next thing to happen after the dialog appeared, was that the *current* (program 1) recording ended at 9:01 (just as it should) -- I was a little slow I guess -- and it disappeared off the pending list which I could still see in the background *behind* the cancel confirmation. The entire list shifted upwards, with the next pending program (at 10pm, not for another 59 minutes) took the place (physically on the screen) of the program I was trying to cancel.
As this happened all within a 1-2 second period, my finger was already on the button and I selected "OK" on the cancel confirmation dialog -- it was too late for me to realize what had happened and just hit "cancel" on the dialog instead.
The cancellation was confirmed, but with the previous program now gone from the list, it ended up canceling the 10pm program that had replaced it.
So, in effect, rather than the dialog canceling program 1, which I had launched the dialog from, it canceled program 2 instead.
I went back and rescheduled it from the guide, of course, and all is fine, but that's awfully weird behavior, and I thought you might want to know.
I am currently running the latest version of GBPVR and using Dscaler5 for DVD playback. Most of the time I use AC3Filter for SPDIF passthrough. This lets my Denon receiver handle the Dolby and DTS decoding. Standard movie DVDs playback correctly with these components.
My problem is that I have a few concert DVDs that have 24/92 PCM stereo soundtracks and these do not playback cleanly. When the concert comes on, you can hear some of the music and a lot of static.
I think the problem is AC3Filter and I have been trying other options to playback these particular DVDs. Unfortunately nothing has worked yet.
My current setup uses a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H motherboard and the on board sound setup for SPDIF passthrough.
I currently have a PVR-150 MCE installed and working. I just got an HVR-1600. I want to have them both in the system. Do I have to run the hwclear utility for the 1600 or just install the drivers and that's it?
I was also wondering if they would interfere with each other in the WinTV app or in GB.
