I'm trying to deserialize an xml file from within a plugin (C#). If I use my code in a new windows application, it works. But as soon as I place it in the plugin project, it throws an error when I attempt the deserialization. I'm hoping someone can see what I'm missing.
Code:
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.IO;
using System.Xml;
using System.Xml.Serialization;
namespace MyApp
{
public void GetTrailers()
{
XmlSerializer serializer = new XmlSerializer(typeof(TrailerList));
FileStream fs = new FileStream(@"c:\test.xml", FileMode.Open);
XmlReader reader = XmlReader.Create(fs);
TrailerList trailers = new TrailerList();
// This throws an error in the plugin.
trailers = (TrailerList)serializer.Deserialize(reader);
fs.Close();
}
[XmlRoot("records")]
public class TrailerList
{
private string mDate;
private List<cMovie> mMovies = new List<cMovie>();
[XmlAttribute("date")]
public string Date
{
get { return mDate; }
set { mDate = value; }
}
[XmlElement("movieinfo")]
public List<cMovie> Movies
{
get { return mMovies; }
set { value = mMovies; }
}
}
public class cMovie
{
private int mID;
private string mText;
[XmlAttribute("id")]
public int ID
{
get { return mID; }
set { mID = value; }
}
[XmlText]
public string Text
{
get { return mText; }
set { value = mText; }
}
}
}
I am building a media PC, specs below and I am having a little trouble getting the EPG and tuning correct. I am in New Zealand and where I live I am unable to get anything other than digital satellite, I have Sky digital, which is going to be my source for the media PC so I am running the output of the Sky decoder into the antenna of the TV Tuner, also I have got the SCART out of the Sky decoder going into the svideo/audio in of the TV Tuner.
Now, these work fine in WinTV 2000. But I am wanting to run GBPVR. I have installed it and all, got everything configured (except the capture sources) I see that djkxml is the EPG recommended for GBPVR, I followed the instructions here and set the EPG source to XMLTV Plugin and selected the tvguide.xml and accepted that, it populated the channels, I thought great. I went into the TV Guide in GBPVR and there was nothing in there (and yes, I have updated dkjxml and GBPVRs EPG). I opened the tvguide.xml in IE7 and it said "The system cannot locate the resource specified. Error processing resource 'xmltv.dtd'. Error processing resource 'file://..." Anyone able to shed some light on this part?
The next part is, I want the EPG to display the channels, TV1, TV2 etc down the bottom in the on screen display and allow me to change the channel, but have all channels from the same input (do you know what I mean?), I know my Sky decoder is sending out 606.500 Mhz as I get a good signal on WinTV 2000 via antenna input.
I have also read in the supported cards list that the Hauppauge WinTV PVR350 is not recommended, could this be causing me any issues?
Specs
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
2 X 256MB DDR333
40GB IDE HDD (am getting more, this is only the OS HDD)
Hauppauge WinTV PVR 350 (am using TV out to display on TV)
I have everything all set up.. my channels and the audio is working great.. The only thing is my Live TV will freeze on the first frame i receive and continue on with the audio. What ways can i fix this?
When I attempt to install the newest version I get a "Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PsiParser.ax failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel."
If anyone has any information on this for me it would be greatly appreciatted!
Hey sub (or anyone that can answer this question):
I'm using expressvu (with a dvb card), and using Schedules Direct to get my guide info. It's very time consuming and difficult to do the mapping of digital channels to SD, because the station 'call letters' are often listed differently in SD than on the actual satellite.
So my question: is there a way that GB-PVR could automatically match the DVB-scanned channel to the corresponding SD database? SD provides the channel number (to the left of the call letters), and the P: value in the SOURCE_CHANNEL_MAPPING is the channel number that Expressvu uses. So would there be a way to write a script, and even make an option when you go to set up your EPG source as SD so that it would automatically map the SD databse to the corresponding channel number found in the P field?
I know for myself this would save a lot of time, especially when transponders get shifted around and I have to rescan the whole thing from scratch.
BTW, GB-PVR is working great these days. It by far beats anything else I've used. Good job!
I have two streaming client machines: A Dell D620 with XP and an HP NC8000 with Vista.
Live TV works fine on the Dell but on the Vista machine, the video works fine for only 5 seconds and then starts to look like a slideshow. The audio is also behind on the video.
I have been looking for a solution for a few days but could not solve it.
Out of options, I have now erased the NC8000 and done a default install of XP on it.
Problem gone ! It even runs smoothly over wireless G now.
(The problem occurred on both wireless and wired ethernet on Vista).
Any ideas ? I have to move back to Vista because my Trust RC-2400 remote is not supported on XP.
Vista install was a default install as well without antivirus.
While looking for a solution I also applied all available Vista patches to no avail.
The server (XP) and client are 1.1.5 and the server has a PVR250 card.
All settings are default.
