I have an MVP that I no longer use since I bought a new PC and now use the old one as a client.
I was going to list it on Ebay but then thought maybe I should give everyone here a crack at it first. It's the US version (NTSC). I'm at work so I can't remember which model it is. I have the remote and the power supply as well as the A/V cables. It was working fine when I unhooked it to try the client on my TV. I even have the original disk from Hauppauge, even though I don't think anyone here would need that....
I'd be happy to get $40.00 US for it plus shipping.
I also have another mvp which got struck by lightning and does't work at all.
If I use the Music Library plugin to listen to my music, my system stops hibernating properly. If I exit PVRX2 and restart it, my hibernation settings start working again.
Some other notes:
- GBPVR 1.1.5
- playing music from a network mounted drive.
- making sure I actually press Stop before returning to the Main menu.
- Video plugin points at the same network mounted drive, but never has this problem.
Hi all.. this is obviously a rather silly question for some of you but if ya dont ask how are you to know.. right? I have been using GBPVR for about 1.5 years now and i just have to say THANK YOU to all involved. I was considering the Hauppauge MVP but i was a little concerned about the various formats for video as well as audio. My question is this..Will the MVP play anything that GBPVR will play?? Is it mirroring the GBPVR screen? Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.
Hi,
was wondering if I could set up my laptop to work as an mvp!
obviously my main pc is serving the huppage mvp, so can it offer the same service to my laptop? if so would the laptop then be able to view and control the tuner in the main pc?
I would be really good if it was ( due to sports events for example running into
extra time , or movies starting late and missing the last 5-10 miutes)
Great prog Sub , keep up the good work and many thanks.
I am new owner of the WinTV-Nova-T-500 and I am very disappointed with the performance. I find it very slow to switch channels and the sound gets choppy every 15 minutes. It also freezes constantly. I have gbpvr and wintv installed. Is there are beginners guide to get the best out of my card or do i need to return the card.

hi,
For people with remote problems, I'm using my bluetooth phone as a remote. It works great! I'm using a S60 Symbian program, Control Freak. This is a free program and you can assign different keys to the keypad and the navigation pad on the phone. I'm using a Nokia N70 and it's all that I really need at the moment for a remote.
I've assigned buttons for navigation and play/pause, forward and rewind.
Keybindings for remotes can be found on the wiki and it's simple to setup.
