move from my recordings to my videos folder and to keep the show info in the database so that you have all the info about the program in the my videos folder - possibly by using a button in the recordings screen so that all the moves etc are done within GBPVR ?
i thought about this as we often try to clear out our recordings folder by putting movies that we have recorded into the videos folder - and sometimes it would be nice to be able to see the info about the movie from there
I've never really had any trouble with recordings not recording up until recently, but it seems to be happening more frequently - and when it does happen, the recording service is crashing.
Attached are my logs - the latest instance happened at around 23:47 Dec 2
I do have the multiple tuners patch installed. However, this latest failure was a string of three back to back recordings. It failed about 3/4 way through the 2nd recording
1) I was messing around with my plugins and i think that created a "New Menu" option in the main menu. I don't really know where it came from, and i don't know how to get rid of it. If i click on it likes like i opened an empty menu. I didn't even know i could do this lol. So i need to get rid of that.
2) I can't find anywhere to delete season recordings. Say i set something to record for the whole season. I change my mind halfway through. How would i cancel all of the remaining episodes from recording? Thanks.
I want to change the motherboard and processor in my HTPC, and have been investigating how best to keep as much of what's already on my hard drive in the new set up.
Advice on the internet about switching a motherboard and then using the same hard drive with XP already installed ranges (predicatably!) from "it's easy- just install the new motherboard drivers onto the hard drive before swapping" to "don't even try, it probably won't work", so I wonder what experience people on here have had?
From what I can gather, the best option would seem to be getting a second hard drive (there is space for one in my case), using that as the C drive with a fresh install of XP, and keeping the old hard drive as a D drive. Then installing GBPVR again on the new drive, before copying the configuration and database files over from the old drive.
Would I then though have to copy all the video files to the same folder on the new drive as they occupied on the old one for GBPVR to find them? And would this render the old drive, (i.e now the D drive) redundant, or could I get GBPVR to store new files on the D drive whilst still finding those which are now stored on the C drive?
I am running GBPVR v1.016 on a AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual core 2.0Ghz box with 2GB of ram, Windows XP professional SP2, and I continue to have the problem with GBPVR locking up when I attempt to play back a recording show. The app freezes and I have to force quit, and wait till the recording is done till I can watch the show. I am running a Win-TV pvr 500 MCE card. Any ideas?
I'm using gb-pvr 1.1.5, using cttv listings as epg, after initially upgrading to newest gb-pvr got listings for a few days, then "no show details" in tv guide, saw survival guide, replaced gbpvrbackendcommon.dll from patch, still "no show details" in tv guide. I tried emptying and updating epg which didn't help. I made a backup of my gbpvr.db3, then deleted gbpvr.db3 after closing the running program. I added back my capture source but didn't have any channel list at that point so updating epg says it did so but no channels to update for. If it easiest to start with a clean database to fix a problem like this did I miss any steps to getting the channels back? I saw a post that said channels can be imported but don't know where to do that or I don't need to? (last version of gb-pvr was .99.5 and used zap2it, realize there is some issue with and probably need to start new database) Currently, I put my backup gbpvr.db3 file back in program directory.
just in the past couple of days I've had two instances of a recordied show still showing as recording in the tray icon after the show has been scheduled to end. At the time the show ends the recording service also jumps to 99% cpu use and effectively hangs the PC. logs attached - latest instance was the show "hubble space telescop" set to record 19:30 to 29:30 on BBC4
