This is a newish MVP setup I'm just getting to grips with. It plays back mp3s, avis, and TV recordings fine. It also does slide shows of jpgs OK.
Live TV is another matter. The MVP will lock up when I select watch live TV from the menu (sometimes locks while still displaying the menu) sometimes a few seconds into the programme. When it locks up, it locks up solid. Only pulling the power plug gets it back. It won't respond to the remote control at all. (Watching live TV on the GBPVR PC is fine btw)
Anyone got any ideas what I should check?
Also although avis play back OK via the MVP, GBPVR on the PC complains with "Error:Failure playing back file". What's the problem here?
I'm running GBPVR 1.0.16 with the latest Hauppauge MVP sw on a PIII 1G PC
Hi there, I've been using GBPVR / PVRX2 for around a year now and have everything working fine.
Except for one minor item:
The French freeview service (TNT) sometimes broadcasts in english on the Audio #2 channels and I'd like to be able to have a second entry in the TV Guide to allow easy selection / recording.
I can add the Audio #2 channels in the 'Capture Sources' part of the setup but they appear in the TV Guide with 'no show details'.
Is this possible, Do I need to play around with the xmltv listings to add a duplicate channel ?
Thanks
GBPVR v1.1.5, Dell P4, MVP, Hauppauge Dual Nova DVB-T, XP Pro +SP2, 1Gb mem
the add custom task on the plugin tab is limited to browsing for (and launching) .exe files. Can you add a *.* all files option so I could launch other filetypes? (a .scr to launch a screensaver would be a good example...)
I don't really understand (technical issues) why these don't work in synch, but was wondering if you think the mvp will ever play these, or will we always be stuck converting to mpeg audio first ? I mean I just found pressing menu while playing allows you to select the audio and subtitles, but all three end up out of sync
I am just wondering whether to look at buying a different media player, one that can play these without modification (but they are all pricey - and then I would have to replace 4 of them and then consider should I get the HD versions for future proofing and then the price goes up more ..... !!!)

I think I've seen this before, but I can't find it in a cursory search...
an option to set ctrl+P as a play/ pause toggle, for those of us with deficiant media keyboards.....
With "Show closed captions (Intervideo / VMR7 / VMR9)" enabled I get nice captions when watching recorded or time shifted Live TV, but with "Live Preview" I do not get captions. Is this expected?
(US style captions, COX on analog cable, HVR-1600)
Installed the v1.1.5 tonight and when I tried to execute GBPVR, I received the following error:
"Unhandled exeption has occurred in a component of your application. If you click continue, the application will ignore the error and attempt to continue"
When I clicked continue, the program hung, and I had to terminate it.
I am using the latest PVRX2 1.15 and ML2 v6.7.
How do I get collections to work...or what are they supposed to do for me. I created two collections with one song each. When I load ML2 both songs are in my list. Does ML2 just merge the two collections?
