Using the latest recommended dongle I found that emulation mode does not always work. If, after rebooting, I choose emulation mode, GBPVR starts no probs.. If I first go to, say mclient or files, then go back and try emulation mode it just goes through the WOL and Ping attempts without success. I then need to reboot the mvp to get emulation mode working again. Is there something I can do to isolate the problem?
I'm thinking about creating a PVR with one of the new Everex TC2502 on sale for $200. I already have a Happauge USB PVR2 that I used to have working with GBPVR, but that box died due to an unrelated illness.
The specs online are 1.5 G processor, 1/2 Gig memory, 80 Gig hard drive, DVD player, CDRom Burner, and a linux distro.
I would re-use my old Windows 2000 for an OS, but I was hoping someone else had tried it first.
New version of Skiptool has been posted to the wiki.
This version improves the GUI to enter skiptimes, adds a transcode queue based on Stattik's transcode scripts and allows saving of the current image in skiptool as folder.jpg and filename.jpg.
When converting DVD's to mpeg I am having an issue where when trying to convert a movie that has a scene that fades to black to say, the combining of the audio and video will halt. I have tried to do it several times but each time the conversion stops there. When viewing the decrypted .vob file as well the move just freezes when viewin thru GBPVR. Has anybody encountered this before?
Hi, and congratulations for what seems to be a great program.
Why "seems to be" ? Just because until now, I weren't able to watch TV. Indeed, I get sound perfectly, but my screen is desesperately black. All my TV channels were detected correctly, but no picture at all...
My Card is a Pinnacle USB Hybrid Pro Stick 330e (DVB-T).
I have a chance to swap my x700 pro with a friend who has a 6800 gs oc. Right now i get gittery playback of hd in gbpvr, but hd will play in media player classic just fine. I am currently using the purvideo decoder, and was just wondering if having an nVidia card would be better with a nVidia decoder. Also will i be better or worse off with a 6800? Thanks for your help.
Thank you for a great solution for media center functionality. GBPVR performs better than Beyond TV or the Wintv application packaged with my tuner. I can recieve more digital channels and the content streams better.
Here are my system specs:
Software: Windows XP sp2, GBPVR 1.1.5, comodo firewall 3, avast antivirus v 4.7, windows defender, avgantispyware v 7.5, cyberlink power dvd, & klite video pack. I am using only the default plugins with GBPVR.
during live tv playback, the application crashes and generates an error message stating the application has experienced an error and must close. Recovery requires system reboot. When this happens, the WINTV app that is packaged with the wintvhvr 950 still works even before reboot.
scheduled several recordings, of which only a few successfully completed. of these only one will play back and to play it, i have to access the folder outside of the application and use cyberlink dvd software to play. Windows media center and media player classic won't play the recordings.
when recording playback is attempted, the attempt results in an error message after which, live tv fails to work. recovery requires system reboot.
I've got recordings up to 4 days old that are staying as new...how long are they supposed to stay there? Oh yeah, I'm using the default recordings plugin.
