I thought I'd take a look at MusicLibrary2 - downloaded and installed latest version - copied MusicLibrary2.dll and ML2panel.dll to GBPVR\Plugins Directory from GBPVR\Plugins\MusicLibrary2 - went in to config and added some mp3s - all this on the GB-PVR Client. I start gp-pvr and scroll the main menu up - all the menu buttons disappear and I get an 'Unhandled exception...' dialog box. First sign of a problem in gbpvr.exe.log is

There is absolutely no doubt that the fun is in the learning...
The TV Guide search option is missing from the menu of PVRx2. I heard that the new interface might be missing a few components but could not find any related info in the Survival Guide. I ran the Changedatabase as well. Do I need to use GBPVR.EXE to search the guide ?
What does easy view do ? All I see is a black screen. Does this need to be config'd somewhere?
I finally upgraded to Vista..
I install gb pvr and scan for channels, then when I try to import the UK DVB it says.. "Starting scan.." then 2 seconds later "Saving new listings.." and doesn't import anything!
I have no idea if this would be a do-able solution, or even if it's legal, so I thought I would ask here. I searched and came up with many answers, but none that were specific to this question, so here goes:
My Comcast cable tv set top box displays all the basic EPG data that I would need for GB-PVR. I'm pretty sure that the set top box has a serial port so I could connect it to my HTPC. Is there some way to import the EPG data from the STB to my HTPC through the serial port?
I am looking into building an HTPC but i need an OS that can do everything i need it to do. I have a storage server running FreeNAS and need it to pull media off there, it also needs to be able to show an interactive channel guild of all programs from my digital cable box(which will be run through the HTPC i assume) and allow me to record shows easily(including HDTV shows). It also needs a GUI that can be controlled with a TV-like control and not a keyboard/mouse.
Dont know if this has been reported but I am not able to switch between Recordings and DVDs (Ctrl+Y) on my MVP. It works fine on the PC but on the MVP I am prompted with the following: "Can not access DVD features" "You must specify at least one directory...." every time I press ctrl+Y.
DVD directory is configured as it is working just fine on my PC. The log is attached but I cannot see anything that would cause the problem.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Using 1.0.16 with the latest beta/test version of VA.
Is it possible to run the old 99.12 version using schedules direct?
WAF has dropped through the floor with the new version. Some plug-ins that are not updated yet, screens that are not readable on the MVP's and a more or less unstable MVP in general.
I would not have upgraded yet except that to get guide data from schedules direct i assumed i had no choice. Until i get some of the issues resolved and figure out how to skin the new version for my wife an her need for everything to be larger i need to roll back. I've tried running the MVP's in in GBpvr mode and that gets things to sort of work but not consistently, depending on what plug in is running. Since I use GBpvr exclusively on the MVP's the MVP stability is most important as well as being able to skin it so my wife can read the menu's and plug in screen.
I have been using GBPVR for recording and watching through media players. I decided that it would be nice to run a client on my office PC. Since I never had to "view" through GBPVR before, I have never messed with codecs. I searched the forums and installed a couple of codecs. I can view .vob files fine. When I try to view a .ts file, I get a black screen and no audio. What codec should I use? I don't need anything fancy that requires any configuration. I just want a clear, stable picture.
Is there any way for GBPVR to natively send focus to another application. I'm using USB-UIRT. I know that you can do this using girder, hip, or event ghost. But the only function that I need is just to have GBPVR switch focus with another program and I don't really want to add the complexity and resources of running yet another application.
No big deal, really, just trying to keep things simple. Thanks for any help.
