Good evening,
Since 2014 I used Mc2xml with Gbpvr. After Mc2xml was out I think it's good to had an update. I install NextPvr 4.2.4 on my old Amd Athlon 64 X2 6000+ who since run with Window XP Sp3 with a raid 1 drive. The setup for Nextpvr 4.2.4 run wheel.
Where I need help is for the setup of the device. The capture card is a Ati Diamond 650. I use the SVideo to connect the satellite setup box. I install the Hauppauge SoftPvr an I'm able to find the analog svideo. In the NextPvr setting device I select the device setup for analog.
On the setting window I click on Import, change the input source to SVideo, country to Canada, Tuning to Cable and on Input source I select Schedule Direct. After that I'm able to select Lineup and manage lineups. Still the same error: Unable to connect with schedule Direct. Please try again later.
The NextPvr log confirm that the token is required. It never ask for user and password. Please could you help me to enable the epg with Schedule Direct. Country CAN, Language FR-CA, Postal code J0E1E0, Shaw Direct National lineup.
I use NextPVR to record OTA programs for the networks. We've increasingly been noticing a problem with closed captions on our local CBS affiliate - other networks are fine. Problems include typos, entire sentences of dialog skipped, and delays.
This is for shows like B Positive, SEAL Team, etc.
I actually contacted a CBS VP in charge of the area and was comparing episodes over time to try and pinpoint when it started, and came across something interesting. Watching the show with NPVR, I see the issues. Watching that same file with VLC, and the subtitles are perfect.
So the VLC software is picking up a different track for closed captioning than NPVR.
Hello,
I searched for the location that Nextpvr puts the Icons and found where it is located for ver 5. Where will I find it within ver 4?
Thank you,
Bruce
Hi. I had NextPVR working for a week or so and suddenly I am getting a cannot play or record error.
The play error says "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)".
The record error message says "Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal".
I am using a HDHOMERUN device as my tuner (if I use the HDHOMERUN original player I can still view live TV without any issues).
I am quite certain Windows 10 in one of it's weird ways has stuffed things up (I had a 2nd internal D: hard drive that crashed, I am using an external USB D: drive now - perhaps there are some settings in there that are now missing).
My settings in NextPVR do not have any transcoding set up.
So I tried to reinstall v5 hoping it will reset my settings. However that does not fix the issue.
I am quite certain if I reinstalled Win10 (again!) the problem will go away....
All my recordings that were happening during the time change Sunday morning are all messed. I'm not sure it the cause lies with the EPG or with how NextPVR handles it but I did notice that all day yesterday the little bar in the web app that shows the current time vertical on the guide was incorrect by the old time. essay writer
It appears that I had a recording start at 1;59AM on TCM and it somehow padded the program by almost an hour and then the next two movies were just recorded after that recording stopped so the first one has all the first movie and part of the second, the second has part of the second and part of the third, and the third has the ending of the third. Now I should be able to edit these back together but it is a pain.
I'm not sure if anyone else had this problem but I felt I should report it so you can determine the cause to see if it can be avoided in March.
I still have a requirement for composite video from a Satellite Set Top Box. I would like to try V5 but it does not appear to support Composite from a Colossus 2 card as it does in V4.
The other cards I have are Hauppauge PVR 2210 V5 appears not to support the analogue inputs. Without buying more capture cards do I have an alternative apart from staying with V4.
I would like to try the new V5 software.
I know that this issue seems to pop up every now and again and it has for me too, but previously I was able to resolve it, until now.
For whatever reason I am unable to get a full EPG update, with gaps in the schedule. The Windows 10 setup I am running has a dual Hauppauge DVB-T2 and a TBS DVB-S2 dual access from a Kodi client running on a Chromecast with Google TV. This has performed pretty well for me to date but over the past 5 days I have been unable to get the EPG to update fully despite multiple attempts and having clicked Empty EPG, rescanned the DVB-S channels, rebooted the PC and restarted the Next PVR Windows service.
I also checked the integrity of the database and all was well.
I have attached my logs after attempting yet another EPG Update.
Any help would be appreciated at this stage as I have simply run out of ideas.
I was happily running NextPVR 4.2.5 for the past year then discovered version 5 was available so of course I upgraded to the latest version 5.1.0 (201216). I hadn't realised what a huge change there was but I thought I had got everything working ok. Just after updating we went away for 5 days and on our return I discovered that there was no data in my TV guide.
I ran Update EPG from the settings which pulled the data using EPG Collector and created a new TVGuide.xml file but when the job was complete the message displayed is EPG Update complete. [0 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped]
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
The TVGuide.xml file seems normal, I have included it in the log files in case it is of some help.
First of all, NextPVR is awesome. I have it working with my Hauppauge Colossus 2 card capturing from a cable set top box. My only problem is that for some recurrent recordings, it captures multiple copies of the same program. Please take a look at the attached screen capture of upcoming recordings:
I checked the configuration of my recurrent scheduled recordings and it seems ok to me (again attached):
Is there something in the program guide that causes NextPVR to record the same program multiple times?
