Hi - apologies if this is a somewhat open question, but I am now looking at getting a video encoder to use with my extras device to replace VLC. The bit I could use some advice on though is what methods are out there to take an encoded signal from the HDMI out and get it into NPVR? The output will be in a transport stream, but because it's hardware im not sure what to do with the output...

The repo has been updated with version 2.9.3. Apparently I have never been setting the quality parameter correctly in knew or x-newa and as a result UI screens may have been shown with lower quality then possible. This update requests high quality when the option is selected.
Additionally in starting in NextPVR 5.1.1 the quality of 1280x720 screens will improve and it will be possible to use this resolution if screen rendering is slow at 1920x1080.
Finally I have started to introduce long press options on the remote for those with limited keys. The first one I have added is Long Up which should activate the hidden menu. If this doesn't cause any issues with users with sticky fingers I will like introduce more of these. I likely will add more when I test with the Google Chromecast device.
In developing an Extra device for a Hauppauge device, I've come to find out that while there are events to signal the start and end of a recording, there are no such events for live TV.
Can these be added for invoking associated batch files?
I am getting a lot of strange behaviour NPVR Version: 5.0.1.200103 that I have never seen before. I have included all the logs at the below link. NPVR seems to be stuck in an infinite loop of displaying the following error message:

I added a Hauppauge Colossus to myset up yesterday and am unsure from the logs if the card is causing issues, or if it is something else...
Hello, need help on this one, so I've been getting this error on v4 recently and when I click Continue it would close and I could continue what needed to be done, also in the Recurring screen is now blank and this error comes up.
so moving forward I gave in and did the "upgrade" to v5 and when I copied all of v4 data to v5 I still get this error and nothing is in reoccurring recording screen, but my reoccurring item are still coming up, i just can't make any changes to them, and I still get the error, but now it will not let me close the window or browser window it just make me keep clicking continue. have to close it in task Manager.
Besides my normal cable channels, I use an IPTV service.
After importing the IPTV channels I want, I pair them up with my SD account to get a better EPG.
This process takes a fair amount of time.
Periodically the IPTV service changes things on their end, which causes me to lose the feed to the channels.
Basically they change the last 6 digits of the channel URL.
My current solution is to re-import the channels and redo the SD mapping.
As I said, this takes a fair amount of time.
I understand IPTV services aren't very reliable, and I accept that.
What I'm asking for is if anyone knows of any way to make the SD channel mapping any easier.
i.e. is there any database or conifg file I could edit instead of having to redo the whole channel import/mapping routine.

is there a way on the commadline to get nextpvr to update the epg data ?
beacause pluto.tv only provides 12 hours infos upfront so i need to have some way to tell nextpvr to update the epg frpm commadline on linux.
