  Update notification.
Posted by: Fatman_do - 2007-05-24, 10:37 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (3)

It would be slick if there were a plugin or something that can check the wiki page of a skin or plugin for updates. I know McBainUK has a method for some of his plugins, but it would be great if this was user configurable for those that don't have this feature. Lets say I want to be notified if Sassari is updated, Weather Plugin, or GB-PVR itself.

Error - root element is missing
Posted by: phuturetech - 2007-05-24, 09:48 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

my EWA stopped working a couple of weeks ago with the error below. Since then I've tried updating (to v60 and v61), installing the default EWA and repair installing gbpvr without any luck.

Does anyone have any ideas?

  no tracks for Howlin' Wolf
Posted by: cakes - 2007-05-24, 08:28 PM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (7)

Hi,

I have a few tracks from Howlin' Wolf, but in ML2, they don't show up. Howlin' Wolf does, the album does, but the track pane renames empty.

I renamed & retagged one track to Howlin Wolf, and now it does show up, so it seems the ' is the culprit. Could this be changed?

  puzzled by album art
Posted by: cakes - 2007-05-24, 08:21 PM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (8)

Hi,

For a number of tracks, I've downloaded album art, and this displays neatly in ML2. For tracks where I do not have album art available however, it most of the time displays album art from another track. The strange thing is that I cannot seem to find where it get's this album art from?

what i would like that it just displays an default 'music' icon for those tracks without album art

any clue where i can look?

MVP don't play Live TV cable
Posted by: undret - 2007-05-24, 07:56 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (5)

Hi,
I got GBPVR up on the PC with a WinTV PVR150 and a FloppyDTV-c tuner cards.
It is working on the PC, both analog and digital cable channels.

I have connected a MediaMVP to the system, only recently I have tested it out fully. It is able to play live TV from the analog 150 card fine.
It does not play from any digital channel from the FloppyDTV-c. It either crashes or gives just a black screen (with some gui overlays, like epg info) when I switch to a cable channel on the remote.
Does anyone know how I can fix this, or in which direction to look?
Regards,

  Object reference bug when recording
Posted by: Infinitum3D - 2007-05-24, 07:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have used the gbpvr on my media center computer, for a few weeks, scheduled recordings and starting recordings manually. Today when I tried to record a show (By pressing the record button) I got the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

I have tried to restart the software, rebooting the computer, logging on as an administrator and attempting the recording again. None of which has resolved the problem. Live TV displays just fine, so I know the TV tuner is still running and the recording service is still working. I still got 60GB of free space on the hard drive, so space isn't an issue either.

OS: WinXP Pro.
CPU: Core2 Duo.
Memory: 1GB DDR2 RAM.
TV Tuner: PVR350 (Yeah I know, not supported, but worked a few days ago).

Anyone got any good ideas ?

  Calling C# programmers...
Posted by: zehd - 2007-05-24, 07:19 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

I have a C# programmed DLL ( for sqlite3 access ) that was converted for use with VB6. It works great, but I think the DLL is having pathing issues.

Specifically, instructions say that the dll must be copied to the Windows directory. I'm having no problems if the the windows is on C drive. I think my users are having trouble with other partitions...

Quote:This test application requires the SQLite3VB.dll (that can be created using this tutorial or found below) to be located in your computer's system folders (Ex C:\Windows)

The following page is a walkthrough for C# programmers that gives the source code for the DLL and shows what to do to compile a VB6 compatible DLL...

http://www.tannertech.net/sqlite3vb/index.htm

Can someone look at the source and confirm if there is a pathing issue, whether it could be tweaked to run from anywhere, like my app.path and not Windows, and whether THEY could compile the new DLL for me?

Thanks so much...

  DigiO2 hardware is changed!
Posted by: urpop - 2007-05-24, 06:13 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

The first DigiO2 DVB-T Receiver-Stick hardware was at first ULi M9206, and later it seemed to change Zydas. I have that Zydas-chip, and I can't get GB-PVR to work. You can find DigiO2 at Capture Sources-Recording Source=BDA Recording Plugin-Settings-Device Type is DigiO2 DVB-T USB Receiver. And Digio HAS BDA-drivers.

Can somebody know how to get it work?
