The situation is this - GBPVR was working perfectly until yesterday. Then I fired it up today only to met by a strange "Arial font does support bold" click ok and the application will try to continue. I clicked OK and it wouldn't. I tried a couple of times then it did start.
But It crashed when I went into liveTV.
In a groaning "WTF'isthisnistic" mood I unistalled GBPVR twice and rescanned the channels 3 times.
Went back to liveTV and it was garbled. Some channels had a samll flickering/stuttering frame surrounded by distorted still images. The sound was choppy. Alternatively upon restarting it either gives a garbled image, freezes the program or PC completely or freezes then resets the PC.
I checked graphedt and nothing had changed. I haven't changed anything regarding GBPVR. I am completely perplexed as to why this happening. One minute it's working fine, then the next it has royally shit itself. Hell I was even at the stage where it was happy using rabbit ears. Now it's not happy using the outdoor antenna.
I am a newbie to post so please bear with me. I am using ver 99.12 with ATI x650 on a 21" and a TV. GBPVR loads on my TV(Secondary) no prob, but when I try to watch Live Tv or recordings it plays on TV and monitor. Older versions no prob. Help?
Are there public methods for reading and changing these? Right now I am going direct to the database but I find that causes locking errors somewhere in GBPVR at times (I suspect from the background thread populating the TVGuide).
I am catching unhandled exceptions in my plug-in and this is what it sees:
Code:

Sub,
What's supposed to happen in the following circumstances?
Nova-t 500 using DVB-EPG
Reoccurring programme set to record every episode of a specific programme
EPG shows programme 20:00-21:00 and next episode 21:00-22:00 (same channel). default recording set to 1 min pre & 2 mins post padding
Pending shows 2 programmes queued to record
A different programme was set to record 20:30-21:30 on a different channel.
EPG receives update of reoccuring programme times to 20:05-21:05 & 21:05-22:05.
What I expected was 1st recording (20:00) would start on tuner 2, the 20:30 programme would record from tuner 1 and the 3rd programme (which is a follow-on from the 1st) would record on tuner 2. I also expected the times to get adjusted by 5 minutes when the EPG update arrived.
What actually happenned was the EPG update appeared in the listing as well as the origonal times for both programmes 1 & 3. This made it look like 4 episodes which is what then appeared in the pending list. When the 1st 20:00recording started it was followed by a second copy 5 minutes later. At 20:30 the 2nd recording started causing one of the others to fail, the sequence then repeated as each programme came up to its recoding time.
In effect I had multiple overlapping recordings all of which caused the previous one to fail
Should the reoccurring programme logic detect conflicts?
Is there anyway to avoid duplicates if the EPG times change (without reloading the EPG which I believe isn't reccomended on DVB)?
tipstir Wrote:David that TVersity looks good for your D-Link Media Lounge. You're not using it on MediaMVP are you?
I understand that there is limited support for UPnP on a MediaMVP using the replacement dongle available here through the forum, but I saw recently that due to memory limitations, the media library must be very small.
I bought my MVP for cheap from Radio Shack when they went on clearance, but I rarely use it. The VCR in our bedroom is broken, so I've been thinking about moving the MVP in to replace it. I am a little worried that my wife would actually like the MVP over the dlink, but the dlink actually plays more media types natively.
The dlink DSM-320 sure has a few quirks to it, but the TVersity software is so much better than the software that came with the dlink. It solves most of my problems, and I am waiting for new releases to fix the few remaining issues. The developers have temporarily changed their focus to add support for the xbox 360 and wii, but I hope they will come back to more general features soon. eric has added support in Comskip which I hope that TVersity will pick up soon, and possibly end my need to cut commercials out of the recordings.
GB-PVR and TVersity work great together, each using their strengths.
I've downloaded the "Alpha test dongle", but it in the right place and re-powered the MVP.
It started loading and reached the MVPMC logo (a http://www.mvpmc.org written in a chalk-like white over a blue rectangle). At that point everything is stuck. I waited for over 5 minutes and nothing happened. I waited another 5 minutes and the MediaMVP simply turned itself off.
What do I do to test this? Is there a way to TELNET/PING/SSH whatever into the MediaMVP and check what's going on with it?
BTW, I'm using a Wireless MediaMVP (I don't know if that's important).
3. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
4. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
5. click on "get directions" button (right of From and To boxes)
6. in left column scroll down to step #23
