Suggestion: Remove the 'All' option under the artist
Posted by: smelcher - 2007-04-09, 04:43 PM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (4)

I was thinking that it might be nice to have an option to remove the 'All' option under the artist. I find it confusing when I jump over to the all part. If it could be an option (just like the other 'All' toggle) it would be great.

Cheers

  Another .NET crash--GBPVR.EXE
Posted by: Trips - 2007-04-09, 04:26 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Sub,

Could you take a look at this for me? I've tried several different drivers and filters. Different muxs and plugins have also been tried and I can't get these errors to stop. This error only happens when using my DVB-S card and not when watching TV through my Theater 550.

  Can't Load TV Schedule
Posted by: snjustice - 2007-04-09, 02:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I recently had to replace my hard drive and thus reinstall GBPVR. I am using XMLTV with Zap2it for show data. Despite letting the EPG update automatically and trying manual EPG update using bat file I am still unable to get anything loaded into the TV Guide. I checked the I-xmltv.log each time and it confirms shows were loaded (see below). I tried the manual way with the GBPVR Recording Service on and then off w/ restart, tried with Complete EPG reload checked and then unchecked, always manually emptying EPG clicking OK then going back in to update EPG. I am attaching my logs requesting assistance when anyone gets a chance.

This has confounded me for hours and I haven't even tried recording or set up my MVP yet.

  Comskip Help
Posted by: dgroover - 2007-04-09, 12:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have been searching the forums and reading all about batch files and I still cannot get comskip to work. Here is what I am trying to do. I record a show from an ATSC tuner and GB-PVR saves it in DVR-MS format. I am trying to use a postprocessing.bat file to process the media file to mark the commercials. I know that comskip wants a file name and channel number in order to process. Where does comskip get the file name and channel number from? Is it from a log file? I would like to see some examples of batch files if I could. I read in another thread something about using a .edl file for ATSC recording when using comskip. How does this work with comskip? Any help would be appreciated.

  EWA ready for newbie ?
Posted by: Smoker - 2007-04-09, 06:46 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (8)

Greetings Folks

I have only just gotten gbpvr installed and running about a week ago. I've been doing ALOT of reading and of course run across EWA.

Now I absolutely do not want to offend anyone (cause I believe gbpvr and the community is GREAT - I couldn't say enough good things about it).

EWA looks very interesting and useful but being so new I would like to know if it is something that a newbie like myself should tackle at this stage of the game ?

how to modify size of text in gbpvr?
Posted by: tunanugget - 2007-04-09, 05:41 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

is there a tutorial on how to modify text w/in gbpvr? I think it's a edit of some of the xml files but i'm not sure exactly which ones correspond to what.

Basically, I'm trying to increase text size, particularly for mvp display.

-which file is used for the tv guide? I'd like to display 4 rows of channels at a time. make the font in the FBHV - Classic Icon skin 25% larger in the tv guide.
-music/video libary...make the 'play/mode/shuffle' column bold; and make song names 25% larger (even if it means truncation of names).
-main menu: make the dark blue rectangle around 'tv guide'/'music library'/etc that aren't active wider so that it covers the entire name.

ideally, it'd be sweet to have the mce2 blue theme w/ font sizes that are about 15-25% larger than those of the FBHV - Classic Icon skin.

550Pro vs. Hauppauge analog capture quality
Posted by: Zato - 2007-04-09, 05:41 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

Hey there guys- I'm looking to throw a 2nd capture card in my HTPC. I've heard great things about the image quality of the 550pro cards. I've read mixed reviews on the 650 card, it sounds like it had some issues.

I have a PVR150 card now, and the capture quality is pretty good. I couldn't find what bit the encoder is (10-bit?). The 550pro cards are 12-bit, I would think they might be slightly better. Anyone have any experience?

I don't have the need for HDTV, we don't have any TVs that support it and likely won't anytime soon. But I figure it wouldn't hurt to be ready for it, so I was looking at the HVR1600 vs. another PVR150.
