Is it possible that you could update the parameters that are passed to recordingstatus.bat please.
Let me explain why. I used to parse %2 in a batch file using batch commands but since I added another tuner it became too complex and the batch commands are very limited, nothing to search a string with for example. I know I could write the string to a temp file and then "find" on the temp file but that's going a bit over the top and it gets messy.
Anyways, I decided to write a simple C# program to do what I need to do which I did very simply. My problem is when I pass the batch %2 as a parameter to my new program it gets messed up, I think because of the spaces and quotation marks.
Example 1
%2 = "0:Digital 1:Recording Coronation Street""1:Antenna:Sleeping""2:Cable:Recording Smallville"
My program gets = 0:Digital 1:Recording Coronation Street"1:Antenna:Sleeping2:Cable:Recording
Example 2
%2 = "0:Digital 1:Sleeping""1:Antenna:Sleeping""2:Cable:Recording Smallville"
My program gets = 0:Digital 1:Sleeping"1:Antenna:Sleeping
In the second example, the 3rd tuner gets missed off altogether.
If it's any help this is my recordingstatus.bat
@echo %DATE% %TIME% %* >> mystatus.log
@echo off
"C:\Program Files\devnz\console\Pundit_Lights.exe" 888 %1 %2 >> mystatus.log
and my 3 tuners are called "Digital 1", "Antenna" and "Cable"
Any help or reformatting of the paremeters would help
BTW, the overall objective being:
1. To turn on a green LED when any recording is going on.
2. To turn on a red LED when it is recording from Cable. This warns the familly to leave the cable box alone.
I am looking for a TV Tuner PCI card to do Tv capture. I require the following things:
1] DVB-T (single or dual tuner, dual would be nice but not if it means a loss in quality, I have read that the PVR500 [which does have dual tuners] has poorer video quality than the older cards and is supposed to be very similar to the PVR150 - a low quality card)
2] Very high quality picture.
3] Good signal lock and channel reception (no picture breakup), I have read that some have big problems receiving channels and being able to find them.
4] Subtitle capture is very important. I intend converting to avi Mpeg4 in XDiv format and need to be able to convert the subtitles to a format usable with media players (srt etc).
5] s-video & Composite video input with hardware Mpeg2 encoding.
Someone is selling the Hauppauge PVR350 on eBay, is this card worth considering? What is the video quality like? Are there any problems with this card and how does it compare to the PVR250?
I hope someone can help me with this as I am having big trouble deciding on a card to purchase and the more reading I do the more confused I become with conflicting articles. Someone on IRC recommended the PVR250 to me but they are very difficult to find now, the PVR350 seems to be the card which is easier to find but I do not know how it compares.
Had a problem last night trying to schedule "The Backyardigans" for my daughter. GVPVR locked up. Looking at the log file from yesterday, it looks like the database was locked??
Attaching logs from yesterday. I think this is the second or third time I came across this on my PC.
Hello, I'm looking into building a new machine to try gbpvr on a core2duo motherboard. (I do have an AMD machine as well so I could use it but I like options so I would like both machines to be candidates). I was wondering how useful firewire is for building a HTPC computer.
The motherboards I am looking at are similar in many respects regarding hardware except some have firewire support and others don't. I know firewire is used for camcorders but I don't know if it is essetntial for computers which are used for recording video and used as pvr systems. What do people use firewire for and does it give me additional options I might want? If I don't need it, I will probably go for the Gigabyte GA-P965-DS3 board which is cheap(er) and has all the specs one would need for using pvr (except no firewire support). If firewire is a good option to have, I may eliminate it from the candidates.
Hopefully, a few users of core 2 duo machines will reply to comment although all comments will be helpful.
In addition, I am looking at Nvidia video cards (7600GT to 7950 series) and the Hauppauge 1600 tv tuner card so any additional comments towards that is great, too.
if tried to set up my gb-pvr for my hauppauge hvr-900, when i use the tuning assistent i find all the channels from my cable, but when i want to see them in gb-pvr with live tv nothing happens, when i set show status on i see that he finds my card but it goes back to sleeping after a few seconds. can someone help me?
When the clocks in the uk changed a few weeks back, my GBPVR-pc updated time as normal.
I think it is ever since then, I've noticed a few weird time screwups.
Last week, it had "Harry Hill's Tv Burp" listed three times on one Saturday. It's a popular show but its not *that* popular. It recorded the first one, and the third one. The real Harry Hill was the second one.
There was some overlap for these programmes.
Looking through the tv guide, I also found periods where there seemed to be gaps of 6 hours or more where there was nothing on ITV1.
Some might say this is quite common - hehe
So I ignored it as apart from Harry Hill, there's nothing else I watch on that channel.
This Saturday, according to the tv guide, on ITV1, I can see an overlap again:
6:05-7:10 - Grease is the word
6:10 - 6:40 - Harry Hill's TV Burp
7:10 - 7:40 - Harry Hill's TV Burp
I can't find it now, but I did a quick scan through a couple of days ago and there seemed to be about 12 hours of schedule missing from channel4.
I'm using v0.99.5, with the xmltv command line system pulling listings from the Radio Times. I've checked the Radio Times' website, and that seems to be correct for that show.
Any ideas?
Is there anyway to rebuild the listings database? If possible.. without losing all of the 'all in this timeslot on this channel' recordings I have set up?
i finally found out why the irremote.ini wouldn't work with mvp servers running...they share the same starting letters..."GB-PVR" and "GB-PVR MediaMVP Server"
so i tried a little util to change the name of the mvp server's window title...and all is well.. pvr150's remote without focus and mvp servers running no problem...
i asked sub and he said he'd change the mvp server's name for next release so this won't happen anymore...and will make it easier to target the separate windows easier for everyone..
so if you key on the mvp server's name for your util you might wanna check out the changes necessary...
the new name should be 'GBPVR MediaMVP Server' [notice no - in GB-PVR]
as long as the client mode name stays same, you'll be able to target the player window easily by name alone...
i made a little util to check for any mvp servers and rename them to MVP Server until the next release of gb...
it will rename as many servers as are running and check every 5 secs for new ones or restarted ones..
