I just bought a WINTV-HVR 1600 card and was unimpressed with the WINTV2000 software. I removed all WINTV software and reinstalled the driver for the HVR 1600 but I cannot get the GBPVR to load. Have tried several times but keep getting "internal error 2908" and then "error 1935 An error occurred during the installation of assembly". The program then reverses and backs out of the installation.
This is my first time trying to use BBPVR software but I have read reviews that say it has been used with the HVR 1600 card by others successfully.
Is there anyone that has encountered this problem & can help.
I have downloaded DVD Decryter, BeSweet and Mplex.
I have set up the config for the directories that these are in.
I try and run the DVD to Mpeg and it starts DVD Decrypter, I say location 1 USA and then DVD Decrpter stops and there is no output.
I can use the DVD Decrypter utility from the gui interface that it comes with when you install it. But the default settings are not the same as those from the command line options that the video archiver plugin uses.
How about some kind of indicator on the GBPVR main screen to tell you that an update to GBPVR is available? Something obvious without being annoying. It could randomly choose a time to check an xml file on gbpvr.com.
Just so everyone doesn't get notified and starts downloading on day 0, maybe the xml file wouldn't be updated until a week after a release.
Maybe it could be a setting so you can choose if you want to show the notification or not.
Just a thought. Would make it handy to know your running the latest version of gbpvr. I find myself checking gbpvr.com almost daily anyhow, looking at the download link.
My situation is that I do not have enough hard drive space for videos (160gb drive)
I have another, identical drive that only is storing Images on it, with loads of room.
I would love to be able to make another button in GBpvr right underneath "Video Library".
Any thoughts?
 Hi everyone,
Ive just done a reinstall on my PC, I have a hauppage pvr250 card installed and i use gbpvr and xmltv to get the program listings.
I reinstalled gbpvr and xmltv, but i cannot get xmltv to download the listings, it gets about 75% downloaded and then i get a error window from xmltv saying " errorEAccessviolation at address 004908f8 in module xmltv.exe read of address 00000010" and its stops.
I have a laptop and xmltv works fine on that, so as a quick fix i use the laptop to download the listings and i then copy the listings file to my desktop PC.
Any suggestions why i am having this problem,as xmltv worked fine before the reinstall.
I am using version 1.0.996. I believe is the latest.
This miight not be a bug, but for some reason, when using an srt file to transcode an episode of 24, the mencoder command line added
-sub "D:\\24 Season 2 Episode 19 - 2am-3am.status.srt". the word ".status" is not on the original file name.
The avi file is : "D:\\24 Season 2 Episode 19 - 2am-3am.avi"
the srt is : "D:\\24 Season 2 Episode 19 - 2am-3am.srt"
Now, I don't know if you know this, but mencoder has the command line
"-autosub", which will read a file with the same name of the avi , ending in srt and it will work wonderful.
May be in the future, you could allow us to include the command line on an external xml or ini file, same as Sub's config.xml.
when using my music in the computer running XP, chinese song title display correctly, however when in MVP, it is displaying unreadable character.
Any help is appreciated.
I have GB-PVR set up with a Pinnacle HDTB Pro USB Stick and it works great. I am trying to transition over to the television and want to make sure that the image is full screen. Right now, when I view live TV there are some channels that are displayed in a smaller box with a large blank border in the middle of the screen. I've tried setting the screen resolution to 640x480 and most channels will be full screen then but there are some that still display within a smaller box on the screen. Can anybody give me any clues as to how I can get all channels to display in full screen? Thanks.
Use XSearch, type in a show name on the on-screen keyboard, select Enter on it, select any show name, then hit Home key to get back to XRecord. Choose XSearch again, the keyboard doesn't get displayed until you hit Cursor Right.
