Once you have programmed a show for recording and you go into the pending list, are you meant to be able to change the recording schedule ? AKA from all eposide on this channel to say this timeslot on this day ?
I noticed you can't change it once it been programmed ? is this a feature ?
Hey everyone, this is going to be a total n00b question, so I apologize in advance to those of you who are experts when you read this and it makes your head explode.
But, I want to lower the quality of the recordings GB-PVR makes, right now the recordings take up about 1GB for every 20 mins of video recording, I'd like to get it down to about an Hour per Gig.
I'm trying to do this by going in to Config -> Capture Sources -> Edit -> Recording Source -> Settings -> Quality Profile Settings. I then select the one I want and save and close it. But it's still on the same quality. I must not be doing this in the right place.
I'm having problems with my current Windows install and its going to have to be reinstalled soon. Realizing that I had never documented my system settings I decided to go ahead and do it online. I'm not sure if this will actually help anyone but it definitely would have me about a year ago. I'm not much of a writer so its mostly just screen shots and quick descriptions here and there.
Jeff,
Thanks for this plugin, i was wondering if it is possible to implement an on screen keyboard, i have a hard time using the remote to spell out a word. If an onscreen keyboard is implemented, this could help a lot. thanks for considering this.
Sub,
I am attempting to put together a system to move video files from my PC to my HD television using GBPVR and MVP with about 40 feet of separation between the PC and the HDTV. I have been trying to configure those tuners that will handle both analog and HD. Yesterday I received the HVR 1600 to play with. However, yesterday I also read a quote by you that the GBPVR/MVP system will not handle high definition. I cannot remember which component was the problem.
In any case, am I wasting my time using these combined tuners, or should I just concentrate on analog boards? How do each of these two components handle HD data?
Thanks
can anyone tell me if gbpvr is compatible with the freecom usb dvb-t stick? (http://www.freecom.com/ecproduct_detail....D=&sCatID=) the software provided with that is TotalMedia and although i get a good clear picture, the picture freezes from time to time. i think this is down to it using 100% cpu at times. i have a laptop with a 1.7 centrino cpu.
i have tried other software like MediaPortal which also works.
i want to try gbpvr but cant get it to work. in the Tuning Assitant i cant find my tv card. is it simply not supported or am i doing something wrong?
Apparently i'm not getting things configged correctly. I can run and use the config tool, but when I click OK to be done, it tried to start the recording service, then I get an error box that it can't start the recording service. I am using the newest version GBPVR09905.
I have disabled Windows Media Center and Beyond TV, so those should not be interfering. I attached a zip file of all the logs.
I first installed this several weeks ago, then reinstalled this week.
I verified that I have .net 2.0 installed, and I installed the update you have in one of your sticky threads.
thanks for any help or advice.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
