Framed UI for more convenient scrolling?
Posted by: cincyreds - 2007-01-02, 08:19 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (7)

Hi,

Thanks for all the hard work involved with EWA development - it is greatly appreciated!

I have a request: Would it be possible to present the web interface as a framed page so that the main tabs would remain at the top of the page while scrolling?

Additionally, it would be even more helpful if the page for the TV Guide were framed so the section down to and including the top header for show times would remain stationary while scrolling. I realize that the header can be repeated every X lines, but a framed page would really be the ultimate.

I generally don't like framed HTML, but I think this is one instance where frames would improve the functionality/usability.

If this is not feasible or too time consuming, would I be able to redesign the source pages myself to incorporate frames, or would this just lead to problems when applying future updates or post processing commands?

Thanks again!

Smile

  DVD/Remote issues in 0.99.05
Posted by: johnnybonzo - 2007-01-02, 07:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

First off, I want to say amazing job at creating this application.

My problem is with DVD mode and my MCE remote. When in DVD mode, the up and down arrows work but not the left and right ones. If I use the left and right arrows, all that happens is a volume bar appears. Is there any way to change this behavior?

Any information about sound problem with ATI 550 Pro
Posted by: Lajoie - 2007-01-02, 06:15 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (5)

Hi,

I'm having sound problem, sometimes, when recording with my ATI 550 Pro. The image is good but the soundtrack is like if there was no signal, only noise (sound like pishhh). So I do not think it is a problem of signal quality from the cable, but maybe it is...

I experienced the problem 2 day ago, when I recorded 2 shows back to back on the same channel. The first one was good (image and sound), but the second show had the sound problem.

Before, I had this problem on only one channel, but now I got it on another channel.

Is there other people that are having this kind of problem and did you find a solution to it?

  99.5 and MVP
Posted by: nightwalker - 2007-01-02, 05:14 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (18)

Has anyone noticed a few more than the occasional disconnect from the MVP with the new version? It's not critical and it reconnects quickly. Mostly i've noticed it playing music, from any of the players. It seems to be fine if i push play and then don't touch it again, it's when i would go in to choose more tracts to play. The only thing i see in the logs are below. Hopefully it'll give a clue till i get a chance to attach all the logs.

  Configuration of directory order
Posted by: Paul Evans - 2007-01-02, 03:17 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (11)

I tried GB-PVR without success some 2 years ago, well what a transformation keep up the good work.

In my setup (UK Freeview std definition mpg) I use a Nebular receiver on a stand alone server and a thin MVP client located in viewing area... with your latest software 0.99.5 I now finally have a user friendly thin client (MVP).
After adding various plugins I now have something almost perfect. As always there is always some minor niggle... mine is my inability to order directories for the video libraries. I have tried adding them in the sequence I want, but to no avail! Is there a way this can be simply achieved without database plugins?

Thanks in advance for a wonderful MVP replacement front end as from these minor niggles its outstanding

  No Signal Strength...
Posted by: StuartHarris - 2007-01-02, 12:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

...when mapping digital to EPG.

This worked before, I tried using GBPVR to watch TV yesterday and it was working fine, today I use it and I get a blank/black screen with no error message. I've tried going through the config, updating EPG, etc.

I've completely removed and re-installed the software to no avail.

The problem seems to stem from it thinking that when 'scanning' for channels the channel strength is -20 - therefore it doesn't find anything. The antenna, and signal should be fine as I'm about 1/2 a mile from the mast!

Anyhow, any ideas would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks.

  no digital tuner/startup error
Posted by: stimpsonjcat - 2007-01-02, 05:00 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hello, I've got a few problems and this is my first try at GBPVR.
First off I installed the latest version (on Jan 1st).
I couldn't find my tuner in the installed tuners list.(Fusion HDTV-USB).
So I manually changed the BDA.INI to the following.
FILTER_TUNER=Bluebird, BDA Tuner1
FILTER_CAPTURE=Bluebird, WDM TsCapture1
like it says to look up in Graph edit to manually make a tuner.
I can now select my USB card in the installed tuners list, but when I try
to start GBPVR it crashes, and if I select live TV it gives me the below error.
Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
My guide in the program also works.
Not sure where to go with this from here.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Stimpsonjcat
