Charter decided (in their infinite wisdom) to rearrange my channels for cable. Since Zap2it hasn't changed to match yet, I tried to add the new locations to my listings so I could at least record the time frames manually to get what I wanted. However, for some reason, I can't get the listings/channels that show up in config to line up correctly. I tried turning all the channels on from my lineup on zap2it but they all show up at the tail end of my channels (e.g. the last channel I used to have is 75, now the additional channels start at 76 and increment by one, thru 140+). It seems that the channels that are stuck from removal are the ones I recorded from in the past. I've tried removing gbpvr completely from the system (uninstall from control panel, removing all hints from the registry, deleting the devnz subdirectory) but it still remembers what I channels I had there before. any hints on how to get my channels set right?
I tried to find the answer by searching, but no luck.
Can I stream only the audio track from a recording (in progress or completed)
I want this as I record the football when I am at work, and want to listen to the commentary.
Also, when I stream video, it plays fine - but then stops after 40 secs to a minute. I can keep reconnecting through WMP to the stream, but it keeps stopping again (the position in the stream increases at the same time)
I was wondering if this was a function of the work firewall.
Wondering if there was any interest in a MythTV backend emulator plugin for GBPVR. There are several MythTV Frontend development projects, for Xbox, MediaMVP, and other mediaplayers, and having the ability to use them might be attractive to some.
The "Mything Link" back end emulator would accept commands from a MythTV front end, and schedule/manage recordings in GBPVR's database, and serve up media when asked.
The alternative I see is writing a MediaMVP emulator for XBox, another for Xbox360, another for Dlink whatchamacallit etc... when other folks are already writing Myth frontends for these...or will be.
The down side? I don't know if Myth can handle the visual plugins very well, such as weather, VA panel, Ubustream, inset video, etc etc etc. Not sure how that would work. Skins would also be in the realm of the front end.
The advantage to this approach is that the server is still the Windows based GBPVR, while the front end is a small quiet set top box running linux. Response time of the front end is also much better if it does it's own menu and list generation, rather than the complex protocol used by MediaMVP. Also, Media players will become more popular. A standard protocol is needed to allow them to communicate easily with media servers, and GBPVR should support that standard, whatever it turns out to be. MythTV provides one standard; uPnP is another, (so they say); maybe an emulator/link should be written for that.
Thoughts? I would not expect sub to do all the work for this, since he has done such a great job already, and has enough to do keeping GBPVR running and up to date.
All of a sudden my gbpvr will not record anymore, it will create a folder but it is empty.
Sub I would have attached a log but I don't know how to create one?
Please help.
Everything works great in this new version, ie tv, recording, ect. I have the Hauppage pvr 150, the volume control works for tv, recordings and video but doesn't work when playing songs from the music folder. Even the keyboard control doesn't work. I have to adjust it before by watching either tv, a recording or videos. Any one know a way to fix this?
I got the error message in "Manage Recording" and in others place too!

I am looking for an ISO image of the ATI Theater 650 Installation CD since a friend of mine lost his and he needs it. If you are an owner of an ATI Theater 650 Installation CD, can you put it in a ISO file and upload to megaupload, rapidshare or something...
I'm using Build 52 and webstreaming with VLC as my external player. This sub-forum was very helpful with the setup, excellent utitlity!
What quality of video should I expect? It's not great now, very large pixels. I used the config settings found in a previous post on this forum. The video quality is the same whether with wired or wireless on my home network.
I also opened the Network Stream on the host computer and had the same result.
Is there any way to skip ahead to a specific point in a movie while streaming?
I saw the button to skip forward 10 seconds, I couldn't find anything anywhere else to skip ahead or start streaming from a point in the middle of the movie.
