Ever since I moved to the latest update I cannot seem to make screen saver go away. Every time I disable it and enable splash screen, save config, open back and then they are switched again.
Hi, could someone tell me what I am doing wrong. I'm running GB-PVR 98.13. If I set up a new Capture Source I set the recording source, my EPG source, my channel changer. Then I select 'Map Digital Channels to EPG channels'. I scan and get a whole list of channels found during the scan in the right hand window. The thing is some of these are then not appearing in the left hand list of Channel names and Tuning request options. Particularly BBC3 & 4. What I don't understand is if they are scanned and found why they don't then appear as an option for me to enable? What am I missing?
I get an error message everytime I try to manually update the EPG with Zap2It. I've uninstalled GBPVR, reinstalled it, tried to remove CMTVP (in an earlier post it said removing this channel from your lineup solved a very similar problem), but I still get an error message (my .log file is attached) and it won't update.
I gave up and downloaded XMLTV and used it with Zap2It fine. And since I had no problem updating GBPVR with an XML file, this problem only relates to automatic update.
I recently changed my RWIN settings, turned off Windows Firewall (I have a router), and changed Windows XP SP2 to allow 50 simultaneous incomplete outbound TCP connection attempts per second (rather than 10). Maybe these changes screwed up the GBPVR connection to Zap2It.
I am trying to upgrade my OTA tuners from analog to digital, and I would like to give the (new) digital tuner priority over the (old) analog one. Do I have to delete the old recording source and add it back in again after the new one, or is there a file I can edit to make the new recording source come first?
I installed the weather plugin and find it to be pretty cool. Wondering if there is a was I can access Canadian weather sites so tha I can read the temperature in Celsius degrees (which I can read and understand) instead of Farenheit. The 2 my wife uses on her computer are:
When in Timeshift Mode how big will the buffer file grow to ?
If you run out of HD space will the file stop growing or will it start from teh begining again ?
When in timeshift mode what happens whena schedulaed recoding comes allong.
Will it return to timeshift mode after recording ?
I'm asking this as I have XBMC and I share the Live TV folder and am able to watch the TV stream. It's just an MPEG file. It would be nice to have the system consistantly doing this.
Dear sirs,
I installed a tv tuner 150mce with beyondtv, this is one of there bundles.Their software is very bad,as it is set to timeshift always,no way to shut it off.So I found out about GB-PVR and downloaded it,and took me three trys to make it load, but it works fine now.I notice that I have to keep beyondtv installed to get a picture on tv,I think gbpvr is using beyonds software encoder.I can not make the FM plugin work,if I go to conf>plugins it is checked there and I did the lame.ax thing ,no fm listing in the menu.It works in beyond tv,but as I said there software records this too, very dumb.I hope this is not too confusing and any help would be most welcome,Dennis
on 2 of my cable channels I have occasional problem that recording is fine video but NO SOUND.
Before I used channel numbers I now tried entering frequencies - but same problem occurs anyway.
tuning assistant gives frequency 189312500 for and I have tried that and also different frequencies nearby - at present 189450000. trial and error - to get a good recording.
But then sometimes sound just disappears - and only on these 2 channels.
I have not understood how to see if there is always recording with a specific card (I have 2 PVR 150 cards) that fails.
Is there a way to see which card actually did the recording?
Is there anyone who knows a solution for my problem?
Do I need to find a better frequency - and how would the best way to find that be?
I live in Sweden and it is channels TV3 and TV4 in case someone has had the same problem
it is also a little bit strange also that cable company says channel 7, WinTV200 uses channel 7, but GBPVR tuning assistant says channel 22 - but this difference works for other channels.
And yes I have got an old version of GBPVR v0.95.16 - but it works normally very fine with high Wife factor (which goes down quite a bit when no sounds on the series ) - and I guess it is not the version since no sound problem only occurs on 2 channels.
I did have almost 1GB gbpvr.mdb fil - just compressed down to 3MB - if that makes any difference in this case? - but why only one on 2 channels then?
new version of one of my old utils, playgrf.exe..
basically it plays graphedit graphs you've setup and can be used from command line or interactively...
i say it's hands down the fastes re-coder around!!
all directx accesses, and directx filters that will take advantage [supposedly] of accellerated hardware video cards [ATI x1300+ is what they say] but it is lightning fast on any machine...try other codecs and compare results..
also can resize video on the fly with no real delay noticable..
any graph will do..
just have to make sure your output file is outfile.mpg and the input file is dummy.mpg in your graph..[check convert.xgr as example]
currently only plays .mpg<->.mpg graphs...hope to have .avi ins n outs soon..
new features: new nice bar graph of % completed, total time and current time, size of file in nice gui...
*all files now included and will be extracted if neccesary..
*now can use 3rd param as custom graph to 'play' eg:
"playgrf.exe file.mpg file.mpg 2500"
would play the 2500.xgr on file.mpg, renaming original to file.org.mpg and new
one becomes file.mpg..[also copies :metadata.xml if it exists] or:
"playgrf.exe file.mpg file2.mpg 2500"
would play the 2500.xgr on file.mpg, outputting file2.mpg..
"playgrf.exe file.mpg file2.mpg"
would play the default convert.xgr on file.mpg and output file2.mpg..
"playgrf.exe file.mpg file.avi mpg2avi"
would convert file.mpg to a divx file.avi
oh yea, and with no parameters, it will let you browse for the files..
i setup the default graph [convert.xgr] with the ATI Avivo codecs but you can build your own...if you can open convert.xgr in graphedit.ex then use that as a template..
originally built to play graphs for unsupported capture cards with 'external recorder' plugin...but can be used for normal transcodes..
could also be used for MVP transcoder...
it can be decompiled and edited if anyone has any improvements..
[anyone have any ideas how to check an in-progress file's current media length?]
Enjoy!
UPDATE: forgot about some changes that broke the 'no parameters' interactive method, now working again..re-download.
UPDATE2: added mpg to avi, [.avi output] processing...[for the life of me i can't seem to save a .avi input graph and reload it..may not be possible...]
included a sample mpg2avi profile for example..
UPDATE3: now with tray icon and tray tooltip showing precentage...let me know if that is a problem for anyone..
