MY cable company recently got purchased by another so I had to change my line-up. I changed my zp2it account lineup. I then went to both of my capture sources and removed each channel and emptied the EPG. I then exited config and updated the EPG. It re-adds all the new channels but some of the old channels are still there. I once again deleted all the channels from the capture sources and emptied the EPG. I closed config and re-oped it and went to the Channel tab and those "rogue" channels are still there. I was expecting to not see any channels. Anyone have any ideas?
I've had problems with my tuner card after moving to an "AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core" PC for some reason. For background refer here.
Which value for money tuner card do people with an AMD Dual Core recommend for GB-PVR usage?
Here's the list of tuner cards available from my local shop so a recommendation for one of these would be great (i.e. value for money, and confirmed working on an AMD Dual Core with GB-PVR)
after using GBPVR for quite a while now very successfully my Cable provider in Germany decided to mess around with the channels. I tried now to reconfigure my channel mappings but no everything is messed up. I am using a PVR350 and GBPVR version 0.97.9.
What I tried so far:
1.
a) Channel search on my PVR350 with WinTV
b) Set (in GBPVR config - Edit Recording source) the channel source to the channel which was found in the channel search of WinTV
2.
a) Mapped the channel (in GBPVR config - Edit Recording source) to the frequency (in MHz)
3. Used Tuning Assistent with the following preset file, using the frequencies from my TV
------------------------------------------------
# format: <preset number> <frequency in Hz> <channel ID> "<channel name>"
Then I ran freq2reg and imported the keys into the registry
All what I tried so far did not work.
I am completly lost (I do not even know anymore, how it is supposed to work), confused  and out of ideas ....
I would be very grateful, if anybody could shed some light on this...
Hi - forgive me if this info exists somewhere, I have looked hard. On the MVP, which I have working pretty well for LiveTV distribution, I want it to automatically go into full screen live TV when it connects to the recording service. Can this be done? Currently I have to press 'OK' which is a bit tedious when the MVP loses the connection to the service, which happens occasionally.
Also, I have a 1xHauppage 250 and 1xHauppage 350 card which I can happily switch between, but after a while, one of them drops the sound. To get it going again, I have to stop the recording service, software reset the cards, then restart the recording service. Any suggestions on how to stop this would be appreciated.
I'm putting a Freeview solution together for my mother and have 2 options:-
1) Buy a HUMAX 9200T box for £190 and be done with it.
2) Buy a dual tuner PCI freeview card + a tv out card and GBPVR.
I'm open to either option, I'm not scared of PCs, I'm dead confident with construction and configuration. Plus I'm a software developer so I'm not scared of software like GBPVR either...
What I need to know from you experts is will the following hardware...
Hauppauge Nova-T 500
<unknown> TV out card (ATI/Nvidia/etc.)
GBPVR
Pentium 3 800MHZ w/ 256mb
ATA100 7200RPM IDE
...enable my Mum to watch a freeview channel while she records another freeview channel on her SCART'd Panasonic widescreen TV?
Also, is there a remote control option for GBPVR, and do you think it would be easier for me to buy a shrink wrapped solution (i.e. Humax 9200T) considering my mother will be the end user?
If the above is possible, what I really need to know is what TVOUT card to get, obviously I'm looking at one with hardware decoding considering the spec of the PC.
MANY thanks in advance, and sorry if this question has been asked six million times before!
As the title says, I have a pair of Hauppauge Nova-Ts for sale. Both are in perfect working order with remote controls and IR leads and only about three months old.
I'm only selling as I have moved to an area without digital TV reception and no plans to get it for a number of years, (which I didn't know before I moved  )
I'd prefer to sell to the UK to keep the costs down, but will export if requested. I'll sell as a pair or split. Payment to be via Paypal, best offer secures.
I wonder if someone have seen a program that let me define custom on-screen buttons. I had hope to find something that has the look and feel of GBpvr.
I want to assign a button on the remote to call up this app with a set of virtual buttons, it would be great if it could context sensitive so that LiveTV has on set of buttons and Video has another.
since October, 28th we´re having wintertime and cause of that I´ve problems with my GB-PVR. When I open the GB-Pvr the clock in the right corner shows the right time (wintertime), but all the programmes (e.g. Simpsons) start one hour earlier than they should. Here is an example the TV Series Sopranos starts at 20.15, but the TV guide says it starts at 19.15, so it starts recording to soon (19.15), cause sopranos is starting one hour later (20.15).
How can I change that?
Thanks.
I received my shiny new Theatrix card to work with GBPVR and the recordings look great but I have a problem immediately after any reboot.
The card image on live TV or recording is all fuzzy and monochrome. I have to run Windows Media Encoder to initialise the card properly, then it works fine in GBPVR during the same boot cycle. It is as though GBPVR is not initialising the card properly. I have tried both ATI's brand new drivers (31/10) and the older ones to no avail.
I am using the composite input on the card from a Sky box. This all runs on a P4 2GHz, 512MB with an NVidia 5600 256MB AGP.
If there is a startup applet that I could run to sort it out, as a workaround, that would be great.
