Debug when converting to WMV

It happens when I attempt to autoconvert to wmv. (I can manually transcode from GBPVR and no problem!)

I am running commercial skipping parallel and then ASAP autoconvert to WMV.

I have the latest update and also patched with GBPVR.exe that sub posted 10/27/2006 to resolve a similar issue someone else was having.

I am doing this so the new xbox360 update plays the wmv files. Pretty cool if can get it to work automatically.

By the way, for anyone wondering about xbox360... the manually transcoded wmv files currently will not play on the xbox360. It recognizes the file in my video section yet when click to play it gives the unplayable content error. Once I get it to transcode automatically like the ipod files then I will seek to find a way to get them to play on the xbox360.

Sub also, is there any way to have it transcode to 2 (or more) different formats. For example, mpg to ipod and wmv.

Yes sub, manual transcodes from the video library work.


For anyone who has (or wants to help to) changed the transcode to be xbox 360 supportable [I would appreciate it].

In the config app where you select the conversion type, try selecting one of the ones called "WMV-1200kb/s" or "WMV-700kb/s" rather than the one called "WMV".

Yes. That did it!
Problem for me now is to make the file playable on the xbox 360.

I do not have MCE just XP and am using windows media connect. With the latest update for xbox 360 it allows wmv files to play. I get the files I make through windows media encoder to play but these currently in gbpvr do not.

you don't have an xbox 360 by chance?? and are interested??
