I am trying to clean up my channel lineup, but this button does nothing. It never worked for me. I have a lot of channels that I do not subscribe to, that were added to my lineup by Zap2it, there does not seem to be a simple way to disable GB-PVR from adding new channels. At this point, I have too many channels and I do need a cleanup. I am using v.97.13
Removing channels one by one in the capture source is tedious and slow.
In case no way exists to do this through the inteface, which tables in the database I need to update to fix this problem?
First, I have a problem with FFDShow under GB-Pvr. The only filter I'm trying to use is the resize filter, and I get audio and video out of synch. I have enough cpu left to take care of this, but whatever I do, it affects the FPS, and you get a delay between audio and video. Also, FFDShow seems to work, even if you do not set the check box for this in GB_Pvr config. Is this correct? Also, I have three tuners in my machine, PVR-150mce for analogue input and a dual Nova-T500 for digital input. FFDShow seems to work for the analogue card, but not the digital one. Am I missing something? If I don;t solve problem one, this point is kind of redundent, but just in case.
The other problems I'm having is to do with the remote. I've set up the MCE remote, with hip to change the channel on my stb. That all works fine, but I get double key-presses for certain keys on the remote. I know this is fixed by installing the replacement driver for the remote, but I also have the MCE keyboard, which stops working with the replacement driver. Anything I can do in HIP perhaps to overcome this problem.
These are slight annoyances to anotherwise excellent product. It can do stuff that MCE can't, high on my list was a mix of analogue and digital tuners with multiple epgs. You just cannot do this in MCE unless both cards have the same epg, and then you have to hack it!!
Once I have the money and this scenario is an actual feature I want to have a second GBPVR machine for the bedroom. The feed would be satellite. My wife and kids normally watch TV in the bedroom which has a ReplayTV PVR using a satellite feed. I normally watch TV in the living room. However, there are times the kids and sometimes my wife want to watch their recorded content in the living room. And there are times I want to watch my recorded content in the bedroom or finish a DVD there without having to pull it out of the living room and carry it and insert it and find where I left off. The TV viewing is mostly in the same hours, between 7 PM and 10 PM so its not like we can take turns. Also I only want my content on one system and the wife and kids content on another system. Basically I envision this as an extension of the client built into 98.8 with each system being a host and a client. Could a plugin be built where I can do this? Or does fileshare in the client setup do this but with the scheduled recordings specific to each machine? What if I want to watch LIVETV on the opposite system due to the capture card being busy. If not I guess I could get two MVPs apart from two GPBVR HTPCs but that would be an extra cost of $200 US?
I'm gettiing the problem where my pvr150's remote just stops working. I've searched the forum and it seems to be a pretty common problem. But it's funny in that it's usually only the play control and navigation control buttons that stop. The volume and mute buttons still work.
Sometimes I have to reboot the machine before it will work again. Restarting IR isn't enough. I'm running the new 98.8 release, but it's been happening for a few versions now. I reinstalled my remote software and card drivers about a month ago from the haupphage website, but it had been happening before that too.
There are times switching applications to explorer and then alt-tabbing back to GBPVR (running full screen) will restore the faulty buttons back to operability. It won't always fix it.
I have noticed that my hard drive light is really processing hard about the time it stops working, and I suspect that comskip is firing up (or some other gbpvr-related process) and somehow stealing the application focus, even though GB is running full screen still. This would explain how alt-tabbing would restore the focus and thus make the remote software work again.
This thread (LINK) seems to have some more information, though it's only helped about 50% of the prople having troubles, by the looks.
Is there a setting I can make to my config or such so that any processes and batches fired by GBPVR happen as background tasks that don't have focus?
I´d add the Capture Card "Terratec Cinergy T USB XE" into my bda.ini with following settings.
[TerraTec Cinergy T USB XE]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Cinergy T USB XE Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=Cinergy T USB XE Receiver
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
Ok. GBPVR Config allows me to select the card and initializes before starting channel scan. So far so good, but the scan does not give any results.
I´m located in Hamburg Germany and the original Software from Terratec finds a lot of channels. I also read other threads about problems while scanning for channels and therefore i already tryed the re-registerfilters.bat hint.
It does not work. Every scan results in no channels found.
The only channel i´ve ever found with gbpvr and the Terrarec card was "prosieben", but that was only once.
Could someone please help me. I would love to use gbpvr.
Cool system, this GB-PVR. This app works. If you want a basic PVR/TV viewer with an integrated program guide, GB-PVR nails it. Very stable. Very responsive. Simple UI. I'm also having fun delving into its guts; fun slap-dash architecture.
Some of the classes and static functions are (sort of) documented in a couple of Winders help files. And there are plenty of examples out there; I was able to throw together a brand new Sleep Timer plugin in just a few hours.
But what about the interfaces? I haven't found any real documentation on the different interfaces plugins and dependencies can implement. Sure, there's that one PDF tutorial, and it does have helpful info about IMenuTask. But that's the only one it mentions.
Am I missing some treasure trove of info somewhere on these forums or on the wiki?
PS: Incidentally, I get way better search results when I use Google to search gbpvr.com (e.g. [site:gbpvr.com keyword]). A lot of stuff I'd never have figured out if it weren't for Google's index of gbpvr.com. Just an FYI.
Is GB PVR the missing MPEG2 Decoder you need for a PVR-150 MCE ?
The main complaint from people buying a Hauppauge PVR 150 (or other versions) is that ther is no included MPEG2 Decoder.
Is that what this GB-PVR program is ?
If I want to watch and record Cable TV with a PVR-150, do I still need Beyond TV ? or is this GB-PVR software exactlly what I need and not even bother with Beyond TV ?
Sorry for a question that is probably obvious to most people, but I think I'm getting confused in my initial stages of purchasing a new TVCard to replace my aging Leadtek WinFast TV 2000XP Deluxe. Which has stopped recording MPEG2 format and only captures MPEG1 and Windows ACI formats now.
Hi sub
I have fixed one error in the Swedish translation. In addition to that I have made som texts shorter in order for them to fit inside the button.
Hi. I just downloaded GBPVR this week and it seems like a really nice program. I would love to use it as my PVR software of choice, but after last night I'm a little concerned about the stability. I was watching Live TV (which looked great). I then decided to record the current program for 15 minutes. I then went back to the main menu and went to the recordings and began watching the Pending Recording. It looked great and worked flawlessly. I cancelled the recording and went to the DVD player. When it started the video was weird (It started off moving as if it were in slow motion, then I was seeing ghosting artifacts). I exited the DVD player and went back to Live TV which was also playing very slowly at this point (It looked like you would expect slow motion to look). I exited GBPVR and restarted it, and all of the issues went away.
Has anybody else seen this and is there a way to fix it? I love the idea of the program and when it was working, it looked GREAT!!!
I'm using a Hauppuage 150 card with Dish Network.
My Computer is has a 3.4 Ghz processor with 1GB of RAM.
