I'd like to put a camera on the house for security reasons and I'd like to use the securitycam plugin with gbpvr but I'm wondering what might be a good camera to get.....(ie wireless, night vision, usb, brand, price) I looked on amazon and saw allot of nice ones but I'm just not sure if there anygood, I'm thinking wireless would be the way to go and I'd like to get one that is panable like maybe with the hauppauge remote control ........
I am having great results my AverTVHD A180 tuner card. Local HD program looks great. I would like to know how to enable S-video input. I have setup a BDA Recording Plugin, selected NONE for EPG source, and added a channel. When selecting Direct Recording Plugin or GO7007SB plugin, the AverTV A180 is not in the pick list for avialable tuner card. Can anyone offer some advise.
Thanks
Installed GB pvr lastnight very nice! I have a number of files for my ipod ripped from my dvd's. I have tried to play them with the video included in Gb, picture is fine but no sound. Is it possible to play these with Gb PVR?
Just today a new phenomenon has started on my install.
I'm using Cyberlink codecs using Overlay Manager (the only way to get smooth playback for me) so I can't catch this with a screenshot, but when playing video and I hit pause or FF/REW, the image appears to have a grainy mask laid on top of it. This only accompanies the OSD and goes away the instant it's cleared.
To me, it looks like an image with transparency that has a mesh of pixels in it that AREN'T transparent. Switching to VMR makes it go away, but that's just a test not a solution, because VMR makes my video jittery & unwatchable.
This wasn't happening before, and I can't find what might have changed to cause it.
I'm running 97.13 with a Hauppauge PVR500MCE.
EDIT: From the Waste-of-Bandwidth Department.... I fixed it. My color depth had been changed to 16-bit. Changing it back to 32-bit fixed the glitch.
I currently have a ATI 550 based TV tuner card. However, the sound is always giving me out-of-sync issues. Picture is okay, but I can't get the sound in sync.
So I Thought I ask: Which analog TV tuner card would You like to recommend for more or less only Live-TV watching on my PC ? Or should I get an external separate Tuner solution, and if so, which one should I look into ?
Apologies for any funmblings in this post, all new to me.
I have two t200's working (using compro software) in my win2k3 server.
When I run
config > Capture Sources > BDA recording plugin
if i check the "Only show devices detected in this machine" checkbox it says 'No known cards detected in this machine'. if i leave it unchecked and try continuing by mapping EPG channels it fails saying 'Failed to locate configured BDA capture device).
any advice much appreciate as the s/ware looks cool!
At the risk of being extraordinarily unhelpful, my recording service crashed.
The computer had been running fine for days, successfully recording this that and the other. Several recordings had completed throughout Saturday including ones on the channel which seemed to cause the final crash (Film Four).
One film was recording on ITV3, another started on Film Four but it didn't seem to start very successfully. A good number of minutes (may have been about 10 minutes) after the Film Four recording started, the recording service crashed out. I restarted the recording service and looked at the partial video file but it was corrupted in some way and displayed a new frame only every few seconds. It was also less than a minute in length despite being started a while ago.
I wasn't doing anything intensive on the computer at the time, I was just reading some web pages on interface design.
Anyways, here are all my logs if that's any help. [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
