My guide screen is blank except for previously scheduled programs(recordings). I just reinstalled XP and all my apps 2 days ago. GBPVR was working fine last time I checked it.
Hello! GB-PVR runs on an Notebook. The first standby is ok, it wakes up, no problem. The second standby crach with an bluescreen stop =x00000000A (0xBAD0B214, 0X000000FF, 0X0000000000, 0x844E35E9) NDIS.SYS I think its an problem with the "Virtual Network Adapter" from GB-PVR. Wenn its disabled standby will work.
i am using the ContourHC skin and it has worked fine till now,
but yesterday i have tryed to use the Shut Down pluging.
This plugin does not appear in the main menu.
What could that be??
I am using the gbpvr v96.12, shut down plugin 2.5.
This is pretty minor especially since I seldom watch live tv.
Live tv doesn't quite work. If I leave live preview on in config I get the same thing every time. Everything works but I only get a black screen / no sound. The really interesting thing is that literally every thing worked. I can see the channel change on the cable box, the decoder (purevideo but the same with others) comes up but the actual display process never starts. I can tell this by clicking on the purevideo system tray icon. Its control panel comes up and everything looks good but there is no data going through, the bits per second bar is zero. I can press ESC and be back at the gbpvr menu. I can also press pause during this black screen and the time shifting starting message comes up and then everything works. See the gbpvr.exe.log attached at the bottom of the file. The interesting thing is that the error is when I pressed pause which is what made it start working. Note no error was displayed on the screen.
I get a complete lock up of the application after hitting "main menu" on the picture library. The main menu appears but the program is frozen at this point and nothign responds (not even alt-enter). I have to end task on it and start again.
My picture library is in a sub-folder in the plugin list. I would have expected the "menu" button to take me back to the same sub-folder that I launched it from, not the top level menu.

If I make a grouping in the menu (uner plugins, make a new folder), this will still show on the menu even if it's empty or there are no active plugins in it.
Wouldn't it be better to hide it if that's the case?
I don't know how I happened upon GBPVR but it looks good. I have been trying to build a PVR opn Linux using MythTV but have had nothing but problems.
I am looking to run GBPVR under Windoze 2000 but would like to ask a few questions first.
DVD's: On Linux I can use libdvdcss to use and rip commercial DVD's - is there anything similar for the Windows world?
TV Card: I have a Compro Videomate DVB-T300 card that Myth will not pick up anything on, Kaffiene media player does. I do see on here that it is possible to use under GBPVR so hopefully taht will do. I am also getting a KWORLD card as well.
Remotes: Again, under Linux I would use lirc, what would I be using on Windows? Also, does the Compro DVB-T remote work on GBPVR? I do have plans to get a MCE remote at some stage.
I have a SBLive 5.1 card that I want to use to output to my stereo? Usable?
I will probably have a few more questions as I go along
my cursor keep disappearing on the primary display with the desktop and wont come back until i move the mouse over to the secondary tv monitor. and video playback does not need to be playing, it happens even when the main menu is displayed.
